At first I thought this was funny...(No I didn't) then I realized the awful truth of it.
Tax his land, Tax his bed, Tax the table At which he's fed.
Tax his tractor, Tax his mule, Teach him taxes Are the rule.
Tax his cow, Tax his goat, Tax his pants, Tax his coat.
Tax his ties, Tax his shirt, Tax his work, Tax his dirt.
Tax his tobacco, Tax his drink, Tax him if he Tries to think.
Tax his cigars, Tax his beers, If he cries, then Tax his tears.
Tax his car, Tax his gas, Find other ways To tax his ___. Tax all he has Then let him know That you won't be done Till he has no dough.
When he screams and hollers, Then tax him some more, Tax him till He's good and sore.
Then tax his coffin, Tax his grave, Tax the sod in Which he's laid.
Put these words upon his tomb, "Taxes drove me to my doom..."
When he's gone, Do n ot relax, Its time to apply The inheritance tax.
Accounts Receivable Tax Building Permit Tax CDL license Tax Cigarette Tax Corporate Income Tax Dog License Tax Federal Income Tax Fe deral Unemployment Tax (FUTA) Fishing License Tax Food License Tax, Fuel permit tax Gasoline Tax (42 cents per gallon) Hunting License Tax Inheritance Tax Interest expense Inventory tax IRS Interest Charges IRS Penalties (tax on top of tax) Liquor Tax Luxury Taxes Marriage License Tax Medicare Tax Property Tax Real Estate Tax Service charge taxes Social Security Tax Road usage taxes Sales Tax Recreational Vehicle Tax School Tax State Income Tax State Unemployment Tax (SUTA) Telephone federal excise tax Telephone federal universal service fee tax Telephone federal, state and local surcharge taxes Telephone minimum usage surcharge tax Telephone recurring and non-recurring charges tax Telephone state and local tax Telephone usage charge tax Utility Taxes Vehicle License Registration Tax Vehicle Sales Tax Watercraft registration Tax Well Permit Tax Workers Compensation Tax
Not one of these taxes existed 100 years ago,and our nation was the most prosperous in the world. We had absolutely no national debt, had the largest middle class in the world, and Mom stayed home to raise the kids.
And now in this great country of mine I have to "press 1" for English!
What happened?

Jen This isn't a gender statement, it's a tax statement. Like it or not, you fall into the category of "mankind." And this statement >> Mom stayed home to raise the kids. Believe it or not, there are alot of women who really want to do just that, but can't because they have to work and just maybe it's because we're being taxed at every turn. and this >> zenophobia too. No, I just like being an american and speaking english. I believe that those that come here should fit into our society, not force their's on me. |

Switchie...luv...it's 200freakin7. Mankind doesn't include women anymore. People who mean humanity say so. And people who write statements like this...I'd lay a hard earned well taxed $20 bill down that they are wishing women would stay home and all the forners too. I understood that this was basically about taxation...but don't fool yourself. That's not all it's about. I've made it clear too many times that I have no problem with women who desire to stay at home. I don't think they're less than a career woman, and conversely, it's rather tiresome to defend my desire to be a career woman. I'm not the one saying women must be either or. |

Well Jen, how do you feel about taxes? |

Well...considering we dumped tea in a harbour for being taxed less than 2% of our wages, I'd say we've sort of veered from the vision. BUT having said that, If me paying taxes ensures that someone who...say...has been devastated by a hurricane or tornado can get food and aid, then I'll pay them. Or even someone who lives in a state that is suffering economically more than another. Or in need of Social Security. Or health assistance... Is the system perfect? HELL no. Is there waste? good grief yes. Let me manage the distribution of the taxes as carefully as I manage what they leave me with...they'd see some thrift and efficiency for sure. |

I'm all for helping others. The gripe is about taxing people so much. We all know that most of it is wasted on $500 toilet seats for congress and grants to study the sex life of a pis_ant. |
