| Dear Fellow Poets It is with great regret that i inform you that our friend Steve has passed away at Hull Royal Infirmary on June 2,2006 at 1:00 am. I was contacted by Steve's brother at 2:30 am my time that he had passed during the night. Steve went peacefully in his sleep. There will be something put in the Hull/East Riding Newpaper sometime around Tuesday his brother had said.  Peggy | |

| I also heard the news today and I am going to miss Steve so much. He has been a great friend to me and I shall miss our phone chats. I got a card from him on tuesday which I shall treasure as he went to so much trouble to sent it. He was missed at our wedding on saturday and I know he wanted to be with us so much. I am leaving for our honeymoon tomorrow and although it is with great sadness I will raise a glass to my darling Stevie baby.... Christina | |

Although of late I've not been active here, I remember Steve most vividly from the bbc board. He was a fine poet and had a remarkable sense of fun.

| I've only just read this and I really dont know what to say... I didnt know Steve in the way that some of you had the privilege to, but from meeting him in Cyberspace I know that he was a wonderful person and a fine poet. He never failed to make me smile with such kind words and funny jokes and I shall miss him very much around here. Im sorry for not being able to say much more, but God bless you Steve.
