AUDIO IS BEING REINSTATED Hy Poets, a while ago we started an audio fortnightly week-end, it was a fun and indeed interesting exercise as, not only did we gain another dimension of each who participated, we gleaned the benefit of the writers own intention re, speed of reading, internation etc. So...hunt out your microphones and brush up on technique and WATCH THIS SPACE!!! |

But...but....that means we will have to wait for almost 4 weeks before we can hear your dulcet tones, Dear Stella.... we can't have that, lol, (though I knew we could count on your super support in audio) but perhaps we will have to get it going for this weekend, only.... I am having pc problems with being kicked offline everytime I wish to post a reply box....well... not 'every time' but almost, chap coming Friday! Thank goodness, but remind me of your holiday dates nearer the time, Zy |

I'm interested in having a go at this Zydha - need to learn how to record audio direct onto the pc first as my faithful tape deck needs a new belt.........

Hy Dave, great to hear that you are also interested. In the Audio link at the left are some instructions, granted I made a couple of faux pas, but we were just getting started. The method I/most used was Sound Recorder, and all that is required is a mike... no tape deck, just a mike and a folder for filing into, here is the link, there are some step by step instructions if you wade through, lol, but any problems just post here, Zy PS there is also help for storage and memory conservation later. |

Hy, Ken, I am not really clued up in that dept. apart from the fact that the one \i had but have lost in the move somewhere is a Planetronic (headband with flexible microphone)...it wasn't cheap but Pc World has a wide range as do Currys and the like. I have bought a make do until I find my good one...though I havent tried it out yet, lol, mainly due to the fact, it is now misplaced. I know a couple of members bought inexpensive ones from ebay and they worked just fine. Sound Recordings has settings which are just as importand for a decent recording Hope that is some help, Ken, cos we'd love to have you join us, Zy |

I have been out and bought a new headphone/mike set to experiment with - give me a few days and I should be able to upload something.
suitable warnings will be made beforehand as counselling afterwards is not included, hehe.
best wishes Rhumour |

That's great news, Dave, then I'd better have a try with my temporary set I bought, all my recordings were done on my misplaced Planetronic. So if I sound like a wailing cat, lol, it's the new mike! Zy Ps...maybe next Friday for an Audio Weekend? |
