HY and WELCOME Back ~ Shackleton What are you known by these days, Dear Mick, Shackleton, or Mick . Well, as one of the founder members, you know your way around, Mick, but same old site rules still apply, Family Rated as has been from the start. We still have a few of the old members with us, Val, Fluff and Peggy sometimes, Philip (Clive, Potleek and Pip occasionally), Mikhala (Mikhail), and Emma (Forestflower) has just returned recently. A few joined us from the old beeb when it closed.. Poetess, ForgottenMelody, Steve, Ken, but you will recognise those you know Mick, as they pop in and out, but we have a great core group from all over the world. Audio has been done and was great fun and we are soon to start it up again. So a resounding welcome back and I look forward to reading you once again on our boards, Zy | |

Thanks for the welcome, Zydha 'n' all. I tried to leave a message here last week(ish) but me message got lost in this weird and wonderful cyber-world that we inhabit. Sorry I've been absent for a while. I have no excuse except the loss of my poetic muse and a volatile mix of Anglo-Celtic inheritance. The muse is still a bit wibbly-wobbly and the bloodline is as doolally as ever... but here I am. Life is not too bad, thanks Zydha. I've attended 3 weddings and 1 funeral so far this year. I'm not as handsome as Hugh Grant... though I am a bit taller. The funeral was a bit harrowing, because I was a pall bearer. I struggled in both a physical and emotional sense. I'm not the man I used to be... in both a physical and emotional sense. The latest wedding was fantastic... my youngest daughter got married! This is the one who lived in Spain for a couple of years. She's married a smashing young bloke... surely a match made in heaven. I'll try to post a photo when I can catch me breath. Oldest daughter is scheduled to present us with our second grandchild in November. Does life get much better? Youngest child, David, is going well. He's been to Bulgaria and Tenby already this year... off to Greece in September. Life appears to be pretty good for him. Good to encounter everyone again. I always have a weekly trawl around the board... about time I left a coupla comments. Catch you all later. |
