Turning, the ambulance made everything swirl -

the cars swerved and steering-wheels swung,

people looked around, wanting to know

thinking they wanted to know. Once it passed,

the ambulance sped along the high street,

normality had returned with the swoop

of lipstick being applied and radios

being allowed to be loud. Did they stop?

If you think they did; that they cared,

you weren't there: watching,

where the ambulance turned.

this is marvellous stuff, I love it...even if I'm not sure why! ...wanting to know / thinking they wanted to know... to write that alone makes me smile gleefully. I think I feel the pleasure you get from writing.

Hi Steve,

Lol, I'll take that as a good thing all the same. My favourite lines. If you do, I expect you will be very happy indeed. I was just walking my friend's dog, then waiting outside the shop while my friend went in to buy something. All the speed seemed to change with the ambulance and it got me thinking.

Hi Katy, I missed this last night, I liked this, could feel the speed and momentum in this.

Hello Emma,

However much I enjoy your replies, I don't mind if you don't read them all. I think it's just another look on how I hate the way people seem to act like they care, but really only crave the 'excitement' - that's if you can call it such.
