How long is a lifetime? Is it as long as it seems or as long as it means. Perhaps it fits into to tight a space, or is one line too many upon a worn face. Maybe the smiles that go on for miles, are the yardstick for the count of of enough years. Or is it the ocean of bottled emotion and silently shed secret tears. Thoughts enter the mind of the curious kind, when wondering whether in storms that we weather we have outlived the one we were given, do we just drift till we reach the rift which ends... a phonious living. I should add that this was inspired after reading Pip's post in Favourite Poems of In a Dark Time by Theodore Roethke |

Absolutely, Mikhail, and I saw that you have now read that poem too, so you have some idea of the mood I was in. Strange how the deeper the poem, the more lasting it's impression??? Wonder why that is...or maybe that's just moi, lol, thanks for your comment, Mikhail. When we are all back either well or online again, (as a couple of our regulars aren't) you will be kept busier than at the moment, but your replies are invaluable, thanks, Mikhail, Zy |

A great film of it's time, Peter, and a fine philosophy if it helps or even works, but sometimes whistling isn't the answer. I really am not well at the moment, Peter, but yes, low and under the weather is close enough, hence my low profile in the corner, bye for now, Zy, x |

Beautiful Zy, I really liked this, the rhythm is different to what I am used to reading from you, but it works wonderfully. This is a very meaningful poem. Nice one! Love, as always, Fluff x |
