Some believe that the thirteenth day
Can bring bad luck mankind's way.
Ghosts and ghouls can come and haunt
The bravest of men with their faces so gaunt.
If you should venture outside today,
Bad luck will surely come your way.
Stay indoors and wrap up well.
Don't go where evil spirits dwell.
But I'm not superstitious. I don't care
About the spirits that lurk under there.
I walk under ladders quite easily
And count the cracks in the pavement,
one, two, three.
Why should I be superstitious
Of a number that is simply delicious?
The number thirteen means nothing to me.
It's just another number, as you can plainly see.
