Whole Life
Centered on a misleading dream My life took turns that may now seem mean Changes in many ways that came so quick Leaving me to ponder what is it makes me tick
Losses accumulate when you can no longer toil In your past profession after injuries embroil Your life with constraints never given thought before And adapting defeats some you thought were friends or more
Time lumbers on and so we find ourselves new ways To take on tasks and learn to cope with the days When pain doth grip and squeeze your mind Sure is true many people are more than kind
Giving freely of their time and helping out Showing you there are still good friends about Fairweather went and the seething storms blew away All those that didnt have the grip to stay
Such losses we feel for a while it is true But in the end I think there's no need to be blue For from the wreckage of your past life Step forth new strengths that bring you might
With which to face those episodes of pain Knowing umbrellas here shield you from that acid rain So hold on to the you inside for there is still A whole life to be had just so long as you keep the will
