I want to know where the HELL these dogs are coming from and who the breeder is. It is their responsibilty to rehome these dogs maybe they can get it right the second time around. This really makes me angry. These dogs should have chips in them so they can be sent back to the breeder if the breeder is unaware the dog is in a rescue. |

I agree but Ginger, her brother and cousin were PUT in rescue by their breeder. So now what? Her rescuer talked to the westcoast breeder and they said they woudn't breed anymore. These dogs are red as is Ginger, her brother and cousin. Now I know red is common but these dogs seem to be coming from westcoast again. I maintain these dogs number more than anyone knows because of the rescue numbers. I keep hearing 500 but can't be true. How can anyone FORCE another not to breed? Jo-Ann |

In the email i receieved from Elizabeth, she stated that she felt the rescue people know exactly where and who the last couple dogs came from, but are not disclosing it. I have not yet heard back from her about this pup. When I find out more I will post it. James |

Hi Jo-anne This is exactly the reason my pet pups are spayed /neutered before they leave my home and most of my show/breeding dogs are co-owned. I want to be able to monitor the breeding of these dogs as best I can. With a co-ownership it forces them to advise me when there are pups because I have to sign the papers. That way I know where and when there are pups from my lines. There is only so much pre-screening we can do to try and find the best homes. There will always be the person out there who will sell to anyone I just have no intention on being one of those. Mary Ann |

Mary Ann, I appreciate breeders that are as conscious as you! :) Unfortunately as WE all know not everyone is! James, since these dogs aren't common (although some people are trying for that) it should not be that hard to find the breeder. You can't take their dogs so, I go back to there really is nothing one can do but, be responsible for their dogs. Why would another breeder want the expenses involved in feeding, training and Vetting someone elses responsibilites? Not all breeders or show people are wealthy. Your kennel could be overwhelmed with these animals. I know that you have a fulltime job. Poor Cathy gets to capacity too as we know. Jo-Ann P.S. Hopefully this pattern will cycle thru and the dogs in rescue will be minimal. Putting the name RESCUE in front of a dog implies "problems" to many people I've talked to. Most ask why a rescue with their problems? WHY NOT? Jo-Ann |

Here is the latest info on this pup.it is a female.Attached is the email I recieved today from Elizabeth at RR rescue. "OTH - I picked up the Thai puppy today - she is in my mind a mix - she is fairly dog aggressive/reactive already - does well with people - does not mind cats - just reacts strongly to dogs - if her coat was short and fine I would say she was a poorly bred pure bred, but her coat is longer - although very soft - she is red, the tips of her ears sometimes flip over - just at the tip and she reminds me of a Jindo :) She has a wide and interesting ridge - a large "box" at the top - cannot remember what you call that in the Thai breed - I guess I should go and look at some of the ridges - anyway - she is small - probably only 28 to 30 pounds - her feet are almost cat shape, but they are a little more canine looking - her face is more Thai than anything else - if she were larger and could have been a RR mix I would say she was a RR mixed with a Shiba or a Jindo - but as a Thai mix I wonder if she could be mixed with a Shiba? She is very cute, has all her adult teeth and a good bite. I shall take her to work with me tomorrow and have her vaccinated and microchipped - she was due to be euthanized as the shelter is not rescue friendly - we are lucky to have been able to get her - will get better photos of her tomorrow :) "

Hi all, this is the last response I receievd from Elizabeht at RR rescue. She seems like a great litter girls and is safe and sound. Please help finding her a new home. James Hi James - had a whole day to check out this puppy - took her to work with me - she is about six months of age not any older than that though. She ;looks to me a mixed breed Thai - perhaps with a Shiba or a Jindo - cannot really see any other breed in her - else she is one heck of a poorly bred Thai girl :) Her coat is soft, silky and almost lab length - her movements and postures are like Teca and what I have seen in other TRDs - she is pretty dog reactive/aggressive at this early age but loves people - her ear tips flop over just a bit at times, but not always - her feet seem to be as you described them - if they were hairless they would almost look like a Shar Pei foot :) see attached pictures :) she has a heck of a ridge on her and no DS. She is not yet spayed but I shall see to that asap. she is very malleable and will make someone a great companion - her eyes are like Teca's BTW
