MG Note:  With a few exceptions, the thread pitches used by both inch-pattern and metric-pattern FAL rifles are the same.  The pitches used are the standard SAE unified fine threads and not metric pattern.  There is one metric thread used, and that is the barrel thread pitch used on Israeli light barrel rifles and heavy barrel automatic rifles.  The following chart gives inch part name, number or fraction, the decimal equivalent, thread pitch, and any notes associated with a particular part.

I'm pretty sure that Indian 1A-SL barrels are Metric threaded just like Israeli: M25x1.5. I've also heard that the very earliest of Belgian FAL's are metric too.

Very nice chart!

No, there aren't any Whitworth threads in the lot in either Inch-pattern or Metric-pattern FAL rifles.  With the exception of Israeli barrel threads (metric) and, I believe, one other screw on the para-FAL, all threads are the American SAE standard UNF or UNS.
