Thats my Dad, Harry on the left and my Uncle George on the right. My Dad was born in 1929 and was too young to join up, but spent from about 1942 til 1945 in the Royal Canadian Army Cadets (Saskatoon Collegiate Institute). This picture taken in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, sometime before George was shipped out to England in 1943. As previously mentioned, George died in 1985. My Dad taught school near Sunset Lake, Saskatchewan for a while then ended up spending his career with Sask-Tel in Saskatoon, then Regina, retiring in 1986 and passing on in 1990. |
