I know I've heard of this B4, but I can't seem to find it anywhere in my files or folders!  So I went to do a check on the Net for ya & this is what I've come up with for you:
Omelet in a Bag (this one has pics of the various stages of preparation)
Tricks of the Trade: Camper IV (this one has EXTREMELY simple recipe steps)
Recipes From Busy Working Women (this one talks about doing this for guests, etc....I think this is worded better for a show IMO)
Omelettes In A Bag Recipe -- Mr Breakfast (another good one as well)

These are just a few of the "website hits" I got when I put in "omelet in a bag" in the search field. (And yes, I found out that there are 2 ways of spelling it: "omelet" & "omelette")  There were 10's of THOUSANDS of hits that came up, but they all seemed to say pretty much the same thing, at least of the first few I looked at.

HTH,
Marian

We made this at a Girl Scout campout in March.  Easy!  Use freezer bags and make sure they're sealed when you put in the boiling pot of water.  We put too many in at one time and it took forever. The key is to let them bounce around and do not let them stick to the side of the pot.

We set out chopped ham, grated cheese, etc. and let people choose their own items.  We sqished the eggs in the baggie, but you could whisk before you put in the bag.

I think that it sounds like the zipper bags would be preferred [Hefty OneZip, etc.]. I have to buy them because my husband is ......challenged when it comes to closing a 'traditional' recloseable bag.  Then he wonders why his hot dogs or bologna go bad!!

Too funny......... I looked and looked for this........

I had a party that we did this at in Nov. ...... I went back to then and looked and looked and looked for the thread........ ta da........ someone had bumped it up since I started looking!!!!

I gave each guest a prep bowl and had them fill to the ridge with whatever items they wanted........ had everything chopped in the chillzanne rec.

I found that if they put too much in it didn't cook well... the prep bowls helped them to not pile the bowl heaping full!!

Have fun!!!   This is a great brunch recipe!!

We did this at a work meeting and everybody was impressed. I get so much business from my co-workers. If you feed them they will buy.

Adding this onto this thread so it doesn't get buried on the General board:

Here is your recipe for "Omelets In A Bag". For a brunch show, this is a great way to show off our cookware, and all you do is boil water! Make a coffee cake in advance in a piece of stoneware. Make a fresh fruit salad using knives, new mandolin, and serve all on SA pieces! You hit 4 of the big ticket items (cookware, stoneware, knives, SA), and it is so easy!

When it's easy, people will be more likely to book, or to sign up to be your recruit!

Good luck!

One question I do have it when it says to give them a prep bowl to fill with their ingredients does that include the eggs or just the ingredients to add to the eggs.
