Martini glasses - I bought plastic ones from i-party (10 for 9.99).
Mashed potatoes made in rice cooker (5 lbs.). New Masher! (I used 10 lbs. for 18 people). Just right.
Carmelized onions - 4 large onions cooked in skillet with butter (very slowly) low for about 1 hr.
Black or green olives - using egg slicer
Chopped broccoli - chopped w/ any forged cutlery, blanched in 1.5 qt. covered saucepan and then drained in colander (rinse with cold water).
Chili
Cheddar Cheese - cheese grater I also did some baked cheese squares on the rectangle stone
Sauteed mushrooms - in sautee pan w/basil canola oil
Bacon: Cooked in bar pan in oven, or in grill pan with press!
The list can go on and on..........
To serve I started with the large square, placed the medium bowl upside down on top of that, diagonally, and in the middle, and then put the large bowl on top of that. (you can drape something between the bowls if desired). Put a small square or bowl upside down in the middle of the large bowl, and put another small bowl on top of that. Fill the large bowl with mashed pot. and put whipped butter or sour cream in the small bowl (perhaps sprinkled with finely chopped colored peppers or scallions to give it color). Now put more small bowls in each corner of the large platter filled with toppings. Voila!! ENJOY!!!
