ya i'll be watching...i think it's good entertainment but nothing more...after the first year or two it was hard to take the show seriously.

Of COURSE!!!!!!!!!  Despite all the hype and negative vibes, I'll ALWAYS be watching this show. 

And then Canadian Idol kicks off June 5th, YIPPEE!!!

I'm exhausted.

I watched the final performance show, but still haven't watched the results show yet, lol (too busy). I taped it and I'm looking forward to hearing a handful of the guest performers though.

 

I thought the 'new' song was excellent. I mean, it's totally NOT my cup o' tea, not at all. I found it just as saccharin as most of the junk they do, plus it has the horrid 'pop music' sound that generally makes me cringe, lol. That said though, in terms of going for what THEY want to hear a tightly-controlled singer release as a first song? It was perfect - better than all the rest of the songs they've had the winners do in the past (possible exception was Kelly's). I also think they purposefully chose a song they knew that Jordin could do and one that they knew that Blake couldn't do. Anyway, I personally hated the song, but I think it was totally in keeping with the kind of "image" AI wants their "products" to have.

 

I guess I'm glad Jordin won. Well, I'm glad Blake didn't win, lol.
