Mind you, I'm not really paying much attention to this show, so my observations don't hold much weight. I kind of feel like the only rocker front-person contenders are Lukas and Smig's love object, Dilana. Being that I think Lukas is an arrogant poseur and ugly as sin with a giant forehead, I guess I would have to cast my vote for Dilana for the win. But that's to lead this sorry collection of (IMO) second-rate has-beens, meaning Tommy Lee and co., who are demanding an "OzzFest" lead singer. The interesting part of the competition, for me, is that it's a good showcase for singers who deserve to be heard and signed as solo artists, notably Josh and Jenny. There's a whole bunch of other people in this competition who should neither win nor be signed for separate careers. These are the mediocre rock wannabes such as Jill, Magni, and Storm(?), as well as all the other fluff competitors in between, whose names I either don't know or don't care to remember. |

I like Dilana a lot for this band. Lukas did a good Mick Jagger impersonation last night, but he's too weird for this group. Tommy Lee is an attention whore who's making a complete and utter ass of himself. He acts like he has the IQ of a fence post. But the "band" will probably stay together for three months anyway, so in the long run it's just entertainment and doesn't really matter. |

Last year was so much better. I like Patrice and Dilana... and that one guy last night that did Jefferson Starship... I love that song, and he didn't do too bad, but maybe that was because Jason went up and played bass. I love hearing that loud thumping bass. He acts like he has the IQ of a fence post. LOL!! But the sad part... I don't think he's acting. I thought Lukas put on a good performance, but I just don't like his singing style. I don't like his arrogance, either. Jill... she looked scared or something. She screams or something. I dunno, I don't like her either. I'm just so disappointed this year.... |

Lukas or Dilana The Vancouver chick, (Dana?) WRONG! (the one that performed before Dilana at the end) Josh - no stage presence - like most of them - Toby - too Teen Beat - the rest - poseurs. It would be a surprise though if they chose a gal. |

Hmmm, maybe because I refused to watch them replace a dead icon last year, I have nothing to compare this with, but I do think there are a few of them that are pretty good. And I'm not really concerned about being "awesome" cuz really, they're going to be playing with Tommy fucking Lee, a lousey GNR guitarist and a bass player (who is excellent, but that's besides the point, lol). But still.... LOL @ "Smig's love object". (I really am in love though....) And breeze...(Oh maude I feel so old having to say this, lol) - Jefferson Airplane did White Rabbit. They became the Starship years later when they shifted gears. (I only mention it cuz I loved the Airplane and couldn't stand Starship....) I don't know why I think Jill's so good, I just really enjoy her vocals most of the time. And I'm extremely picky about female rock singers. Extremely. Seems weird that I'm the only one who hears it that way.... |

Starship / Airplane....... oops. I actually didn't like Starship there in the 80s either. I saw them a few times in concert. Once they opened for Billy Squier. But I LOVE the old stuff. I wanna see Marty Casey come out there and do his "scarey conductor" thing. |

Hey, Smiggie, come "grow old along with me..." White Rabbit = the best psychedelic song ever written. IMO |

LOL, no kidding, huh? I actually feel bad, though, for all the people who weren't around then when music was so on fire! What they missed out on..... I agree about White Rabbit, btw. Although Itchycoo Park is a close second, lol. |
