Musing about grinding rocks and cup ring rocks
Info leading up to my musings...........
I have always had an deep interest in ancient history and belief that many of our modern interpretations of objects, sites etc were designated by poor and often wrong guesses by archelolgists. ( I know this group will understand. They just didn't fit intuitively.)
I have subcribed to Ancient American magagzine almost from the beginning of its publication. They have several times published pictures of "grinding" rocks found in various places in North America. When I looked at those pictures and since looked through the internet, it just didn't make sense to me. They seemed to have another purpose, as the holes in the rocks just didn't seem suited for standing/sitting and pounding on acorns/corn etc. It was hard to imagine 50-60 women sometimes pounding out food in a space that might be 8x10 etc. So, I have wondered about their designation each time I have seen pictures of them.
I have just finished reading a book Ley Lines and Earth Energies.
This book contains pictures of Cup Ring Stones in the British Isles. Stones found to be deliberate energy conductors to enhance positive energy in different ways. Guess what....yep they look very similar to the "grinding" rocks. In fact identical to the less fancy ones.
So my theory is that they are more likely to be energy generating stones and connective mind energy or physical history to ancient times in at least the British Isles and probably beyond.
The author determined that he could produce similar energy emmissions by percussing (making a hole) a rock.
So, while some of them might have been used for grinding in recent history for convenience??, I've not actually seen any records of people seeing them used that way although it may exist........ let your mind spin with mine.....
The hole in the stones in the Isles emit positive(white) energy as opposed to "evil" black waves that can cause disease ("scientific" proof for that exists "now" hehe).
It is meant to provide protection to people and objects like homes etc.
The holes are pretty much perfect circles as are those in North America.
The occassional "pounders" (determined by modern man) found in North America are stone and seem to fit the holes. However, they apparently show no signs of being carved to attach handles as stone axes have etc.
If these are grain grinders and women used them, they must have had the upper body strength women are not designed to have. They must have had serious back problems from bending over to pound, even sitting down, as there apparently were no handles to use standing up. Never mind they weigh several pounds to make pounding more efficient.
The holes are often close together and would be very uncomfortable sitting on them to grind grain and you definately would have to watch your step and stand in place.
Some of their placement would be very awkward to pound in--like off on the top edges.
So my proposal is:
These pounders probably weren't used in the rocks, but much as they can be seen in use now.
That these rocks actually serve the same purpose of the stones found in the British Isles and some in Europe. They probably exist in other areas I'm not aware of.
They were designed purposeful to emit positive energy to areas of living and worshipping.
The author determined that the cup ring stones and the ones he made also send energy into the sun.
Hmmmmmmmmmmmm. .....Ancient Americans and Egyptians worshiped the sun.......hmmmmmmmmmmmmm
