I attended a past life regression seminar with new age guru Dr. Brian Weiss at The Omega Institute in Rhinebeck, NY back in 2005.

 

Under hypnosis Weiss told people to go back in time and remember a positivie childhood memory.

 

It was interesting because they remembered simple things.  The one lady remembered going for walks with her father in the winter time.  She was fascinated with how the snow sparkled when it got near the street lamps.

 

Then when they go home mom had the hot chocolate waiting.

 

I think most kids will be happy if they have a roof over their heads, food on the table, a basic family structure, etc..  Start taking these things aways and problems can arise.

 

Everyone should have a chance to be a kid.  But unfortunately not everyone does.  When the family unit breaks down, kids start getting put into foster homes, the parents have major problems, sexual abuse, etc., this leaves lasting scars on peoples' minds.
