Hi Delois & Maqua, I have a question that has puzzled me for years. I was told I have something called Benign Essential Tremor (My drs. have assured me nothing serious, more embarassing then anything else). I have it in my head and it is like a slight shaking. It seems to act up more with stress and anxiety... which I also have. My question is... Is this really what I have or is it caused from something else? Is there anyting I can do about it? Thank you so much! L&L, Julie |

Hi again Julie,,I am told that you have a pinched nerve at the first cervical vertebra. That is the first vertebra in the neck.,,an adjustment on the neck, and or neck traction is recommended. Totally your choice. Sending you healing thoughts,,Delois |

OMG! Delois! That is funny... I have felt like it is nerve related. It just feels like when I am using my neck in a certain way it starts up. I am going to set up an appt. with the Chiropractor and see if it helps me at all. I will let you both know. The only question I have is... wouldnt I feel pain in my neck if a nerve was pinched or is that not always the case? Thank you! L&L, Julie |

Not necessarily, the nerves are very strange things,,they can really fool us sometimes. Have you ever heard of BellsPaulsy?? Years ago, I had a lady come to me with another problem,,and she told me that nothing could be done about her Bells Paulsy,,(one side of the face is drawn and looks like the person has had a stroke). I said ok, and when she left, I asked Maqua if we could help her face, and he said yes, just a nerve in her neck,,,well, I continued treating her for her other problem,,and treated her for it too, not telling that I could make it go away. As time passed, she told me that she thought her face was getting better,,,when she finished her treatments, her face was fine. She felt NO pain from that nerve!!! Strange???? I am so happy that you have started giving thought to going to a chiropractor. FIND A GOOD ONE ! Hang in there with him/her until it is all gone. Keep me posted,, You made my day,,Delois |

(((Delois))) I went to my appt. with the Chiroptactor. I explained to him how my dr. "thought" I had Benign Essential Tremor and I wanted him to check my neck to see if I have a pinched nerve at all.... OMG!!!!!!!!!! Delois, within 10 seconds he felt my neck and told me I have a pinched nerve in the first vertebrae!!!!!!!! I asked him if he has ever seen this with any other patients and he said he can remember one other patient that had the same thing with the head shaking. He told me that I have had this for so long it will take a while to fix.... I feel like I have been given a mirical meeting you and Maqua Delois! Time will tell if my head still contines to shake and I will keep you updated (I have to get adjusted again Friday). Words cant express how thankful I am to you both. L&L, Julie P.S. Your lucky I didnt have your phone number because I almost fell over when he gave me the same exact diagnosis as Maqua and I couldnt wait to tell you! LOL... |

I am so thankful that you have found someone to help you,,,,Yes, if you hang in there, the shaking will stop,,but I agree that it will take a while for it,,the nerve will have to heal too,,has been pinched for a long time. I would have loved to hear your excitement,,sorry that you didnt have my phone # . Take care, and have patience,,Delois |
