Lately in this area there has been an ongoing threat of flooding as the snow pack upcountry is melting too fast.

I just got an email in which a colleague of mine says that someone she knows took all the precautions and got all her horses to higher ground, and moved her pets to other people's homes.

VERY regrettably, 2 cats were allowed to get loose!!    It's a somewhat more rural area than here, so no doubt the danger of wild animals getting them is greater (and maybe hiding in woods, where they would be less likely to  be picked up as strays), but apparently one is handicapped as well!

Of course, they are in a strange neighbourhood, too, so alot it going against them.  The owners are setting out traps in the hopes of catching them.

If anyone has any sense of these kitties, please let me know.  I'm going to see about getting their names.

Linda

Here's more info on the cats:

The missing kitties are grey and white both are approx 5 yrs old. Minks has a neurological disorder that causes her to tilt her head to the right permanently. Both she and Galen are very sweet and affectionate, however, Minks is very timid of strangers. The area that they went missing is rural and thickly forrested

It's outside Vancouver, Canada.

I am picking up an image of the two cats together. I cannot tell if they are alive or not as I am only getting the image. They are holed up and dry, but they are giving me nothing else.
