Hi Paul:

Could you  please connect with my dog, Mr. Pepper, he is a black chow chow and about 17 years old.  In feb. he had a stroke; he is home now and has come a long way.  He is walking...have been doing physical therapy with him and got him a swimming pool for building up the inner muscle in his right leg.  But today and yesterday, he just seems to be really really tired and dragging that rt leg of his.  I have been putting him down to sleep early in his cage (big enough for a great dane! so there is more than enough room in there for him).

In morning he gets his anti-flamitory pill (1/2 one) plus his bone & joint pill; at noon he gets another bone & joint pill and at supper time a repeat of morning pills plus 2 oz. of electrolite on his food.

Is there something else I should be doing for him?  Is there any reason why his leg dragging?  Would you please tell him that he will be okay and let mama work with him as he is pretty stubborn.

thank you Paul.

Kit/Crystal Moon

As I was reading your message, I got "Some days are just worse than others" from Mr. Pepper. He grinned and then shook his head as if to clear the cobwebs. "It just takes time and effort and some days I just want to not work so hard".
He comes through as feeling well, but has up and down days.

Paul

PS. All of our dogs are older and have joint/arthritis problems and take MSM and Glucosamine Sulfate. If you are not already giving this - don't know what the pills you are giving are - you might want to discuss with your vet.

Thank  you Paul.  You are right; some days are better than others. And someday he refuses to let me work with him.

I give him an anti-flamitory pill from Vet;  and bone and joint pill with MSM & glucosamine plus he gets a baby aspirn some nights to help him relax and sleep.
