Well I'll definitely be borrowing more books from this author!  A great story filled with suspense and mystery, intertwined with the afterlife. 

 

It sets in modern-day England with a family of 3 caring for their old aunt on her deathbed.  The aunt, who is not liked much by anyone at all, has an aura about her that indicates she has some kind of powers over certain types of people - including the innocent 7 year old daughter of the neice who is caring for her.  After the aunt dies, certain other family members are mysteriously killed, and the child begins acting very strangely, as if she's not herself (hint hint).  It's up to the mother to act on her gut instincts to prove it.

 

The story has twists within it that leave you turning the pages until you are forced to put the book down.  The last couple of chapters are intense - not quite the good vs. evil I was expecting to see!
