1st off, I would not let anyone use my pendulum nor would I use anyone elses', I would prefer my own.

 

A druse is a rock of formed crystals(teeny tiny ones) looks like a humpy rock. I use an Amethyst cluster rock about the 3" by 3" by 4"high. Those are easier to get and less expensive.

 

Carry the pendulum and each day program it....ask it to show you yes....ask it to show you no.. when it circles or shakes thats "I dont know" or Undecided(cant answer).....yes usually is away from and back to the chest, no usually is side to side from one arm to another.

 

you can also cleanse a pendulum the same way you cleanse a crystal in salt. but make sure of the stone....I have two pendulums.....one copper, one amethyst...both are safe in salt.

 

remember to start off with small yes or no questions.....if you ask by date,,,,usually ask per week   (will I be financially stable in one wk/one yr.....ect.)

I have found a pendulum/pendant at my rock shop.  It is about 2 inches? long, it has a crystal sphere on top, then the center is rose quartz, an octagon shape, then a small quartz point on the bottom.  Let me tell you, the first time I held that in my hand, Strega, the energy.....WHOA!  I was so drawn to it.....the energy was so strong, I couldn't believe it!  I was going to get this absolute gorgeous spider turquoise pendant that I had on layaway, but I got the pendulum first because of the energy.  I also have an angel pendulum with a hematite ball on the end of the chain that I carry in my purse all the time.  Would you suggest I carry it in my pocket as long as it is the pouch?  Oh, the metal is on it is sterling.  I never would have thought about cleansing it and programming it...thanks for that, Strega~you are an amazing and beautiful woman!

I have a hematite pendulum and it attracts alot of negative energy, I find the most effective way to cleanse things quickly is the smoke from white sage! 5-10 min and lots of consentration on sending the negative energy out usually does the trick for me.

I just joined the group and was pulled to this mail thread.The experiences I've had with pendulums are a little different than what I've read here.My people (cherokee) used clear quartz crystals for diving and healing.So they were very common to us.The pendulums I have I made myself.I have made pendulums only to be told they wanted to work with my husband or daughter.We need to listen to them ,they have a  power that will work better with the person they choose.Some are made of  clear crystal,rose quartz,moonstone,amethyst,wood,metal,chain pulls from ceiling fans,holy stones(small stones with a natural hole thru them)sodalite,just about anything can be used as a pendulum,if it has weight.You can also find them for sale on ebay.

What I was taught is when you first pick up a pendulum ,you introduce yourself,then you ask the spirit in the pendulum "Do you want to work with me?" if it swings back and forth that means "No",if it swings in a circle going right.that means "Yes".If it swings in a circle going left that is a healing "Yes" which is very good.It means it can be used in a healing way.

The way we cleanse crystals is with white sage.You hold the pendulum over the smoke and it will swing.You can also use Sweet Grass.Either of these can be purchased at any Native American store online.If you don't know the name for one just put the words Native American Store in a search engine and a list will come up.I personally use Crazy Crow in Dennison,Texas.But I can buy a pound of white sage from them ,I do that because I use a lot.
