Because this is from the water (better even salt water) this particular item is already cleansed, grounded, and protected. and being it is green it has a healing power. A well rounded all around healing. Use this only for very important things, not the run of the mill every day mundane stuff!

Thank you much for taking the time out to reply. I actually found it on Lake Superior (which is rare for it as it is usually found on Lake Erie), so no salt, but what a gift from nature! I have been visiting there since I was small and I was thrilled to find it. I have not used it at all but I suffer from a horrible form of arthritis and wondered about using for healing for myself to start out.

How about blue and clear also??

Turquoise works best for artritis, if it's in your hands and arms just hold it and than cleanse in the sun or cold salt water.

If the pain is elsewhere than just palce it where it hurts.
