Citrine is one of those stones that should _NOT_ be cleansed with water or salt...as it can become pitted and gummy.

 

 

Spiritually -

Encourages individuality, self-confidence and courage to face and enjoy life. Also encourages a desire for variety and new experiences and self realization.

 

Emotionally -

Bestows ' joie de vivre'(joy of life).  Helps to overcome depression and free oneself from oppressive influences. Makes one extroverted and encourages self-expression.

 

Mentally -

Helps us digest impressions we have received, stimulates ability to confront and help ourselves, to draw conclusions rapidly and understand them.

 

Physically -

Stimulates digestion, promotes working of the stomah, spleen, and pancreas, alleviates diabeties in early stages. Fortifies nerves and has a warming effect. Also to balance the thyroid and activate the thymus. (I AM NOT A PHYSICIAN)

 

Citrine should be worn in contact with the skin or used for example as a sphere or a crystal for meditations.

 

The coloring of citrine can go from yellow-golden brown-amber.

 

This is one of two minerals that does not hold or accumulate negative energy...it does however dispel it and transmute it. this IS one stone that NEVER needs cleansing!
