This stone is feldspar formed in pegmatites and alkaline igneous rocks...obtains its iridescent colors from a fine laminate structure which bends incoming light..Spectrolite is black, Finnis labrodorite within the most wonderful play os iridescent colors found on any labrodorite...

 

Founded for the first time in 1770 on Labrodor peninsula Spectrolite not found 'til the 20th centry in finland.
