I recently bought this house in Point Pleasant WV. You've seen Mothman then you've heard about Chief Cornstalk and the curse on this town. I grew up in the same county but never thought I'd live in this town. Here I am.
I used to have dreams that were so vivid and scary I would end up waking myself hollering or moaning. I never really screamed but made scary noises that hurt coming out.
This dream happened on the way of waking up. We have a pug in our bed at my feet and I thought the daughter was in bed too. I was dreaming aobut something silly and insignificant. I was with my family and a few others and we were all hanging out in the room below our bedroom watching reruns of Scrubs. We were going to sleep down there and I was going out into the other part of the basement to turn out the light. It was around this time that I thought I woke up.
I said to my wife, "Do you smell that?" She didn't and asked what it smelled like. I said it smelled like poop or burnt plastic. It really smelled like human poop; not dog or cat. Then near our door just inside our room I heard someone young say, "What's the matter, Dwayne?" That voice doesn't belong in our house. Since I thought I was awake, it was very unsettling. My wife got up to turn on the light and when she got up, I felt a childs hand cup my neck. It wasn't a threatening feeling; it was more comforting.
Then everything warped and it was like a flashback. I was laying in some kind of hut or teepee. I actually started to holler, yodel or whatever Native Americans do. The smell of feces was stronger. There were people around me watching as I lay on my back and someone started to rub my chest and belly. It was my wife waking me up.
Scared the crap out of me. It was exactly 5:30. I've been noticing in the past few years that for some reason something seems to wake me up around 5:30. Usually I don't get the exact time but it is between 5:00 and 5:30 closer to 5:30. Could someone tell me why this is significant?
I'm paranoid now that our house is built on land that should not have been touched. It is about 50 years old.
