Hello,

I've been a member for a long time, rarely post but do read the digest everyday. I had an unusual experience last night and am asking for thoughts on if this was possibly something that I think it could have been.

I had just fallen asleep and was having a "normal" dream with my daughter and I just having a discussion about my son (nothing was wrong we were just sitting and talking). Then something overpowered that dream...bare with me while I try to explain this to make sense. I heard mumbled voices..sort of staticy much not quite..the best way to describe it was mumbled voices and I was straining to hear (like trying to tune in a fading radio station). The dream of me and my daughter just abrubtly ended and this sound was swirling in. I was stirring and trying to tune in to these sounds. I did wake up (hazy but I was awake) and rolled on my back, still hearing this (it was not loud, just faintly but it was there), wondering what kind of dream this was and why it was still there when I was not actually asleep anymore. I lay there with my eyes closed and drifted back to sleep. 

Sometime before I woke up this morning (a good 6 or 7 hours since I'd fallen asleep last night), I was having dreams of someone close to me who has passed. I can't remember the dreams other than just seeing him in the dreams. But the most vivid was us sitting at a table, he leaned over and his face was right in mine and he said "I told you you could trust me". I have not had a dream of him like this in quite awhile (so vivid and so real). I woke up feeling like he'd been here.

I know what I think this may have been, but welcome others interuptations. I really, really has been thinking if there was a connection between what I experienced when I first fell asleep and the dream I had hours later.
