This dream/visitation is my 7 year old daughter's and I just want to share it more than anything.

To explain first, my Grandpa died of leukemia about 10 years ago and my daughter has never met him (well..not in the flesh at least). She has always talked about him and carried on as if she's known him all her life. She even acts like him and idolizes the actor HE acted like...Red Skelton. (He was just like Red Skelton). Anyhow, she wakes me up one morning really confused and says "Mummy, I had a weird dream last night. Well, it was LIKE a dream, but it wasn't a dream. I had a dream that Grampa Karl came to see me and he wanted me to tell Nana that he misses her" I was floored, but I didn't let her know that. I just said "Well then, I guess you'd better go give Nana her message like Grampa Karl asked you to do" In one sense, I thought this was great and it really warmed my heart. But in the same sense, the fact that he said he "misses" her rather than he "loves" her tends to play on me. It makes me wonder if her time is coming soon and he's letting her know that he's waiting for her or something. It just struck me as odd.

You know, Liah.......more than likely, it's your daughter's interpretation of what it is that your Grandpa was saying about Nana rather than what he actually said.  I think that perhaps, your daughter's interpretation is that he is "away" and she is here and therefore, he is "missing her".  I don't think that it's a sign that he's letting you know that she's going to go.  It probably just means that he is letting you know that he still loves her.  They don't "miss us" when they're there.  To them, time is not relevant and there is no "negative emotions" such as "missing someone".  There is only love.

Love and LIght,
Louellen
