My dreams have been extremely vivid lately, but only one has really stuck out. It was one dream...same city....different places in this city.

Here it is:

First of all, the dream takes place in a bustling city...maybe New York.

I see an area like Chinatown. I am with a young (20s) Asian girl who takes me into this building where there are seamstresses. From the doorway,we walk just a bit past it...there is a rotating floor...we jump to get on...that is where the ladies, maybe 2 to 4, are sewing.

Then...

I was in a subway - lots of people coming and going. I see a black man, 30s, who jumps onto the tracks and dies. Nobody does anything. I was only one to react - in shock. But right after he jumped, I saw a woman already dead on the tracks. She was in her 20s, blond with a lot of makeup. I think her hair was pulled up and she was wearing a blue blazer, white blouse and matching skirt.

I have never been to NYC and I have never been in a subway. But I really felt I needed to post in this group. There was almost a sense of urgency to do so. Do you think I was reliving something or was it just a dream?

All thoughts would be appreciated.

Hi, Deb.

I am going to go with that this was a very real dream filled with what are called archetypes and symbols from your subconscious, also possibly shown to you by your guides. Did it feel like a past life?
See, I studied symbolism from ancient religions and also in general terms for many years. And I will tell you, anytime you see a train track in a dream, it always stands for a choice that has to be made. What is interesting here is that you saw 2 people die on the tracks, and the train tracks always represent a choice with 2 decisions of which someone can make. Seeing someone die in a meditation or dream means that the part of your life that is changing has a decision in which it is a symbol for transformation. Seeing someone die in a dream or meditation doesn't actually mean that the person died. It stands for transformation, change, rebirth. For instance if I dream that my dad died, it doesn't mean he actually died, it symbolizes that part of the relationship I had with him in some way died or was under rebirth.
The fact that they are seamstresses is quite interesting. This is actually a literal sign of trying to "mend" a part of your life, which is the part of your life that was the  theme of this dream state. You were actually having visions in a dream state. I know exactly the type of activity you are trying to describe. They are actually visions while you are sleeping or in a relaxed state.
Rotating floor - same theme. Did you at any time feel like you weren't going to make the jump and you were going to miss the rotating floor and fall?
Is the Asian woman the same woman who died on the tracks? This would be an important point.

Mary,
That makes sense to me. The Asian woman is not the same woman on the tracks. The one on the tracks was white, blond hair. As for the rotating floor...we immediately jumped on it...did not hesitate even for a second.

Then I believe the Asian woman you were with was probably either a guide of some kind or an archetype (symbol) in your subconscious, to "guide" you through the dream, to sort of make sure you were ok since you were watching something that was emotionally upsetting.
Its good you made the floor the first time - it represents the fact that you can get stability and find "stable ground" in the issue you are dealing with, in this dream.

Peace and love,
Mary
