It's Tuesday October 14th.  Canadian Federal Elections today.  I think that a lot of Canadians are disheartened this election as there doesn't seem to be a very clear distinction between parties for the good of Canada.  Besides that, we are going to the polls just because our current Prime Minister wanted to break open his government from a "minority" to a "majority" which very likely won't be the case anyways as it stands right now.

Sadly, a lot of us didn't want another election right now.  It costs us all in many different ways.  Money that could be used for healthcare and education as well as other areas that are in sad need of financial input from our Feds.

I think that the saddest part of it all is the fact that a lot of people don't even want to vote this time around since it is an election, called early and simply so that the PM thought he could achieve a majority government.

Personally, I see no real chance for any big changes for the good no matter which party is in power and honestly, I really don't want to go to that voting station today to do what I normally do with pride....let my voice be heard through my vote.

I sincerely hope that the U.S. elections next month prove to be a good thing for the country's future.  Which candidate will do that for you?  I hope that is part of what is taken into consideration while voting this time around.  We all affect one another in one way or another whether we are in different countries or not.

Love and Light,
Louellen

Lou, you and I must like to open cans of worms with our political posts!  I posted one the other day on the Anything Goes board!  I think you should vote before your right is taken away - one never truly knows if that would happen one day.

I've always found politics terribly boring and I have absolutely no faith in any of the members running for election.  I believe that once a member gets into office, they do as they please.  I've never seen any of them lower my taxes nor raise my pay nor take me shopping when I had no money, yet they all have 2nd summer homes and beautiful vacations and their kids all go to ivy league schools & they have almost nothing to worry about.

I still vote on the lesser of the two evils!
