I ask for anyone to pray for me and health. I have a female infection or irritation that has become very painful and it has been going on for 2 months with no relief. I have gone to the Dr. 5 times and still am suffering with it, often times I have a hard time even sleeping enough at night due to itch or pain. I'm also very stressed and having heart palpitations which I think are due to the stress, hopefully Friday I will hear from the Cardio Doc on the palps. I'm trying to do schoolwork finally after 20 years away from highschool. College now is harder than I ever imagined it would be. Seems that since I began school my health has been having nonstop issues. I have a 16 y/o at home being homeschooled and a 19 y/o out of work at home now too and there's no help there with anything household unless they can make it as hard on me as they can so I don't have a lot of time either to either just relax or do enough. I just pray this pain and itching will be resolved soon because it is making everything else harder.

Dear Seeking,

You are going through such a tough time now especially while you are trying to improve your life educationally.  Kudos for going back to college.  Don't give it up not matter what your issues are.  Your professors should work with you as far as turning work in, accomodations for exams, etc. especially if you disclose to them you are struggling with some health issues but doing what you can to get your work done.

As far as the children in your life, they can be a help to you not a hindrance, especially the oldest.  You may have to pull some parental rank with both kids using incentives and consequences to train them to do things that are supportive of you running a household and you working so hard for your education in addition to being sick.  Pull together a plan of housedhold action, explain to the kids that they are part of the household and have responsibilities as members. Tell them you need  and expect their help and support at this time.   Take a close look at what is important to them as far as motivators, use the motivators as incentives and when they do not do their part withdraw the motivators as a conseqence.  Stand strong, you are a Mom and know these tricks already.  Take back your control and power. You are just feeling overwhelmed, stressed, and in-pain.  As much as we love these little darlings, they know when to take advantage of us at our most vulnerable selves.

As far as the condition where you are itching and in-pain for two months, it is odd that it has not been relieved by now.  Perhaps it is a yeast infection that does respond to antibiotics.  I am not a doctor so am not diagnosing you but am making some observations. Perhaps you are becoming perimenopausal where hormonal fluctations are affecting the recovery process as well as contributing to the pain and itching.  Another thought is diabetes might be considered.  Definitely stress will make something like a yeast or candida infection worse.  I keep thinking you should see a totally different doctor or perhaps a naturopath.  I am really wishing you well on this.  This type of thing can affect the quality of everyday life and functioning. I remember from personal experience. (Sorry this is so long but felt compelled to write to you.)

You have my loving prayers of support, comfort, healing, recovery, strength, all the things that you need to get you through these times.  You will get through them.  Very special prayers are being sent your way to relieve the pain and itching that you are experiencing and the problem will be resolved soon.

Many hugs this beautiful morning,
searching

Thanks so much for your words and your prayers and support!

Part of the length of this is the Dr.s refusing to check it after I had already had one course of meds for it and it wasn't improved. I went back to the same clinic twice after the ititial diagnosis when I was given a script for metrogel, and once was told to do sitz baths and the next time do gynelotrimine. Neither time would they recheck it even though I told them it wasn't better. So I was frustrated and tried some home remedies which didn't fix it either so then I went to a different clinic and it's been over a week now and am still waiting for a call to see if anything cultured up or not. I go see a Gyno next week but at this point I'm not really confident in getting the medical field to fix this.

I am thinking it is hormonal because the heart palps started at about the same time and my monthly also has changed in the last few months. Acne has also began again recently and I get nights of insomnia and times I just can't get warm at night. I'm 38 and having what I feel are a host of peri symptoms.

I really appreciate the prayers! I Thank you so much! I feel a little better pain related today than I did yesterday. YAY.

I hear an overwhelmed person in this message. Avoid sugars - have warm baths with baking soda at night.
Try some deep breathing also and relay positive messages to yourself..."this is going to go away" "the pain and
itching will be cured", " I am smart and capable" say this several times a day especially when you start negative
thinking or feel overwhelmed.
Best wishes and way to go for going back to school, I'm thinking the same thing but have no idea what I want
to be when I grow up.
Kari

Hi Kari,
Overwhelmed yep. LOL I STILL don't know what I want to be. I'm going for a medical coding certificate for now. I really wanted to be a Nurse till a work injury put a stop to that and I had to quit school 11 yrs ago. So I'm trying to wrap my head around an office sitting job but I'm still wanting deep down to see some action.

Well I called and got the results of the culture. It's neg for bacteria and yeast so I'm stumped. I wish it would have given me some sort of answer or direction.

I'll work on staying positive that it will get resolved.

Hi Seeking,

You are welcome.  I hope you do not mind but I did a google search of your symptoms and perimenopause.  I hope you find this link interesting:

Maybe there is some information there that might be helpful to you in tracking down the cause of your pain and itching.  My prayers are still with you.  Good luck in your studies.  Medical coding is a good skill to have.

Keep getting better,
searching
