This herb is known for alleviating fevers and colds. Soldiers were made to be invincible and it attracts love. It's usually gathered during midsummer or on a friday. When it is worn it is known to keep mental illness away and cure melancholy.

 

Placed in a jar & hung by a window(and during midsummer fires) it protects against thunder, fire, (and keeps at bay)  ghosts, necromancers and evil(negative)do-ers & evil/negative spirits.

 

It is said if you place this herb under an unmarried woman's pillow she will dream of her future husband.

 

(folk tale) It was held at the mouths of Witches to get attempt to force them to confess.
