My daughter started singing the verse to a familiar tune last week in the kitchen....see if you can recognize it!

"....at the coca, coca-banana....."

What kinds of things have your kids said that made you laugh?

Nathan learned to snap his fingers this week, so you can imagine what I've been hearing morning, noon and night!  snap snap snap snapsnapsnap   hey mom listen...snap snap   snap snap snap     mom look...snap snap

Hello everyone,  I really enjoyed these posts, so thought I'd share one of my own.  I am from a VERY small town, the liquor store and pharmacy are all in one building, so Saturday afternoons, the place is hopping. One saturday, I had my daughter age 3 (they sprout horns at 3 yanno) and my son, just over a year old in the local pharmacy waiting on a prescription.  The place was packed. We were standing in line waiting right beside the feminine products.  My daughter grabbed a box of panty liners off the shelf and said in a booming voice that only a 3 year old has..."MOM, we need these!"  I blushed, looked around and whispered, "no we don't, put them back."   Quick as a flash, she grabbed them back off the shelf and in an even louder voice she said, "but MOM!!!  We NEEEEEEED these."  At this point we had drawn a fair bit of attention, and I was turning scarlet, so in a firm low voice I said "NO we don't, put them back"   at that point she lost it and screamed at the top of her lungs "BUT WE HAVE NO BANDAIDS LEFT AT HOME!!!!!"  The whole place was hysterical, pharmacist was in tears...I guess to a 3 yr old, the pic on the outside of the box does look a lot like a bandaid  lol

The other night, I was doing "This little piggy..." on my sons' toes.  After I said the last little piggy went wee wee wee all the way home, he said to me "Why?"
I said "Why what?"
"Why does he go home?"
Pondering over his question I said "I don't know.  Shouldn't he go home?"
"Nooooooo."
"Well what do you think he should do?"
Nathan said "I think he should run around in circles and think."

Also, not too long ago, I went to check on the two of them in bed right before I went to bed.  Nathan was still up after over an hour, Kate was sleeping away.  I asked him why he was still up and said he needed to close his eyes and go to sleep because it was late.  I asked him "What are you doing awake still?"
He said "Thinking." (it seems I have a thinker!)
I said "Thinking?!  About what?"
And he paused a moment (I assume to gather his thoughts) and replied "If I had enough play-doh, I could build a tunnel..."

I laughed so hard, it was just so cute!

ahhhhh Barry ... I had a friend who was in love with him in high school.  We had a lot of fun at her expense.

That was a cute story!  And of course now I have a story to share

The other day my son was swinging and he said "Mom look!"   And he kept swinging higher and higher.

I said "Wow, you swing really well!"

He said "I know, my daddy taught me how to get high!"

Hehehehe I am glad the wrong person wasn't around to hear that!

Hi DeniseNH, how are you? Where have you been??? he he he You are one of the members here when I joined long long time ago far far galaxies away. Loullen and Samantha running the site. Didn't see you here much.....

any way nice topic.
My little daughter Shani (2 and Half) know how to use the toilet (we use small seat for her on the adult one) . (She did not like the potty from the begining) She want to use the toilet as adults and we had no chice. Any way doing the "poo" she always has running commentary.
I am doing "kaka" now. It is smelly. Daddy it smells stay away. Mommy it is big one. It s noolley (Noodles) (or rice or what ever she just ate). Once she finished ahe proudly anounces - Shani did a big "kaka" and it is nolley or rice or whatever. We keep laughing our heads off always.
Then the other day the nightmare happens. We had some friends visiting us.
I went to the toilet just before they arrived.
As normal they asked shani where is daddy because i was not around. She came towards the toilet and screames "DADDY". I sais shh tell them I am coming now. She announced loudly - "Daddy doing big  kaka". Emabarassed I said to her I am not doing that and just doing little pipi (She calles it like that). She went "Daddy no big kaka big pipiii".

kids.

Ahhh that is cute Voyager!
I've been around, honestly, reading posts here and there, but I usually fall asleep by the end of the day - too tired to stay up for chat!  When the kids go to bed, I'm right behind!  I've just been busy with myself I guess.  I'm finishing up finals tomorrow at school, (graduated in May for Assoc. Degree - Yay!) and summer's here so the kids have day camp, swim team, both are summer birthday kids, I work and am trying to transfer to a diff position, blah blah blah.  Just working hard for my money!

I usually read the boards when I can, even tho I don't always respond to them.  My email is [email protected] in case anyone would like to email me to keep in touch that way!

Hi Denise,
I know how difficult it is. My wife also most of the time goes to bed after the children, because she is so tired by the evening. You should be commended by completing a degree and doing finals with all that. Well done.
take care of your self and good luck.
