About two weeks ago we (our friends Don and Ned, my DH and I) did a hunt of an old abandoned hospital in a neighboring town, per the new owner's request as it is on the Shadowlands website as one of the most haunted places in town. We were only there an hour as the place has no power and in order to run the laptop, the two night vision security cameras and the Hi-8 we had to use an invertor that we plugged into Don's car, and since we rode up with Don we really didn't want to run down the battery.

The hospital is 3 storys tall, counting the basement. The hospital was built in 1918 and decommissioned in 1963 or so and was then transformed into a halfway house for juveniles, so the rooms have been somewhat "chopped up" and made into bedrooms. For instance, down in the basement was where the morgue was but since the rooms are all chopped up we couldn't tell which room the morgue was. While we were down there we had a weird feeling, like we were being watched, and shortly before that we'd all heard what sounded like a rumble. We all dismissed it as thunder b/c there had been a storm approaching, but after talking with the owners they said the storm had gone northeast and had never come close to town and they never heard any thunder, and they had waited outside to make sure no one messed with the car. Unfortunately, we didn't get that on our DVR recorders.
Up on the top floor we also got something to communicate with us a little bit. Don and my DH said it sounded like dropping water but to me it was more of a click or a ticking noise. After it had been going on for a few minutes I asked something like "If that is you making that noise, could you make it for us again please?" and immeidately it happened again and I said "thank you".
We might have some EVPs, I think I have one on our DVR and Don has one on his but I haven't heard it yet. Don told the owner once they get power restored we'd love to come back and stay all night and see if anything else happens. It was pretty interesting even though we didn't really get any proof, but we did have some personal experiences and I can't wait to go back.
