Dawn is a very dear friend who is a truck driver, female and 68 years old. She has confidence problems, problems with dispatchers and drivers who don't like female truckers, and she's freaked out about backing up, so she's never been able to learn to do it effectively.
She's just lost her job, for reasons that seem like BS. It seems to me that it's more about getting her home from Iowa to California so that these changes we're feeling can have her in place for something to come. Meanwhile, she's freaked out about the whole thing, but trying to remain calm and focused on better things to come.
Please keep her in your prayers, that she'll find her perfect job (driving or dispatching), that her relationship situation will progress, that she'll learn to back up, and that she won't be so freaked out about everything that she has to call me 11 times a day. (No, I'm not kidding, she calls 24/7, but she has no one else to talk to about all of it. And she's nuts, but I love her very much. She's just a good person!)
