This very well may be in the wrong section, though I found it rather fitting...

This experience of seeing a flash of white light has happened to me nearly 4-5 times within the last couple of months. I have absolutely No idea what it is... seems to happen out of no where, but at the same time gives me a sense of meaning behind it. In comparison to a camera's flash.. its much much less brilliant, but just as eye catching.
I decided to post this after work tonight... when I saw this happen twice, and then shortly after the second time the large overhead lights (of a large retail store) dimmed for a second. Within approximately 5 minutes they dwindled once more... this time for enough time for me to visually check the lights. I just wasn't sure before then that it just wasn't my own vision failing me...

From the little I have been able to learn to far... I've never really heard of anything like this.

** as for my emotions during all occasions, I was feeling very independent and as though no one was judging me... very freeing disposition as a whole.

Just thought I would throw this out there for anyone else.......
its got me rather curious to say the least!!

Hi Rave,

I have had a very similar experience with flashes of light during the last couple of months.  About two months ago, I started seeing flashes too but could not associate them with anything outward.  There was another time, years ago, that I experience a flash while laying in my bed.  When I open my eyes there was a shimmering light in the room that remained for awhile.  It faded away.  I always wondered what that was too.  I don't have any emotions associated with the flashes except curiosity.  Anyone else having these kinds of experiences?

I get these. I am also prone to scotomas (optical migraines), due to hypoglycemia. I frequently get one bright flash, usually in the evening. I usually can't make it happen again. It's almost like a discharge of light energy.

I don't really attribute it to anything paranormal, though I have often wondered about that.

Ghost Lights - Closely resembling orbs, but are much larger and brighter in appearance.

Not saying the lights you are seeing is a ghost Light,  just another 2 cents,
At my uncles funeral, (last fall)  during the service,  I saw 2 spheres of light above his casket against dark maroon curtains.  my description is:  they were oval ( resembling the shape of eyes and they were softball size.  They lingered there for a good few minutes and my feeling was.. it was special, good

ps:  I couldn't ask anyone during the service or after
"Whoa!  did you all see that!"

i know what you mean deb.
i didnt see orbs at my daughter's funeral, i saw her, and she gave me a message. she was surrounded by light. guess that would be a big big orb?
i couldnt very well go, did you see her?
orbs are interesting things, and i havent quite figured them out.
glad to know i'm not the only one who sees them, or sees eyes in them sometimes.

Ok, then whatever is wrong with me.......is wrong with all of you too!!!

I have actually scheduled an eye examination for this week (Nov. 22nd)  because of it.   There are all kinds of eye "problems" that can cause this type of thing.....even blood pressure and blood sugar as well as migraines.  Because I see them so often now, I've decided that I'd like to rule out a physical cause and if that is ruled out, I can believe that it is Paranormal in nature after that.

So, will let you all know how I make out with my eye exam.  If it's not that, then we are all seeing something Paranormal!

Love and Light,
Louellen

3 Types of light I've seen:

This is an interesting topic.  I was 19 when I first started seeing light.  I'd see burst of light in a shape that would radiate from maybe what I could describe as an 'invisible person'.  I still remember where I was standing the first time I saw this.  When I had my eyes checked I was told they are "flashers".   I thought I was having high blood pressure or something.  So the "flashers" explanation sat with me OK for several years.  I rarely see these anymore.

Then when I was in my early 30's I told my new eye doctor that I was seeing light and all of the light I was seeing was 'periperially' <sp>... he went over a few ideas and none of them explained the light I was seeing.  This light is almost like when someone takes a not 'in focus' picture and you see a subject doubled?  Hard to explain.  But this light usually is over inanimate objects like a sofa or chair.  That is where I normally see this.  It' not a constant issue either, just a now & again.

In the last couple of years in my later 30's and as recently as today I have seen lights that I know are NOT there in broad day light.  These are small round lights and again are not centrivical seen, but semi-peripheral.  I saw probably 4 of them today.

Now I do call myself "light" sensitive because if I don't wear my sunglasses on a bright day I am blinded at night and my eyes will hurt. I've always just thought these light seeing issues are because I have light colored eyes.

I'll be watching the rest of this thread to see what some of you may think these various types of light are.
Also I have nearly 20/20 vision and am approaching 40.
