Does anyone know where I can get some instructions on building budgie nest boxes? I need some blue prints on building them, and I haven't been able to find anything in detail on the net.
I've heard of people using PVC pipe to build them, has anyone else heard of using PVC?
Gar--having said that and now thought about it--its brilliant!! If you use the 6 or 8 inch sewer pipe all you would have to do is put a bottom and a top on it--and cut out the entrance hole and affix a STURDY perch --both bottom and top would be pieces purchased for that so easy to remove and take care of babies--and clean afterwards. Almost makes me wish I needed some so I could try it! Katz
I have known some people who have even made budgie nest boxes out of milk boxes and cereal boxes! And surprisingly there are very tough, durable, and safe. If you join a budgie group on yahoo called "BudgieList" you can find the person that invented this idea...her ID is : ladydragonfly. These types of nestboxes are cheap and disposable. They will last for the entire breeding season and even for the next if you clean them - by why bother when u can just throw them away, they are so easy to make. I encourage you to talk to her.
