Lee, Ken died about 3 weeks ago. God rest his soul.
Ken and I went to lunch before we left East Lansing to come to last year's annual tailgate. He told me, and of course I did not take it seriously, "Before I die, I would like to go to Heinz Field." So in hindsight, I think Ken was telling me he was going to die and he wanted to go to Pittsburgh b4 that happened.
I have thought about all the things Matt and I wanted to show Ken and we partied instead, telling Ken we would do the tourist thing on our next trip, he just shook his head in agreement. But at the same time, at least he got to see Heinz. Remember how he "disappeared" when we got into the stadium and when we found him he was on his cell phone telling someone all about the stadium? he was so thrilled, he was like a little kid!
Lotsa questions, few answers.
I think Ken did not want to get too close to any of us because he knew he would be leaving us. I also think that he did not want any pictures of any of us to have around. I just hope Ken now knows how many smiles and laughs he gave all of us. I do know this much, Lee & Don, Head Weiner Dog, loved you 2 very much and when we left PGH, he turned around and smiled. He spoke very highly of both of you. Ken gave all of us a bunch of fond memories, but at the same time, we gave him some fond memories too. That weekend, in my opinion, can not be topped.
I seriously have never met one person who is just totally hilarious. And his face with all that blackngold on it. it got all over his pillows so he decided to take it off Monday am b4 we came home........thanks god!
he was gonna wear it home! Total Nut! He had me laughing for 3 days.
