I thought it would be fun and interesting for us to show what is our favorite story in the Scriptures.  Which character (not Jesus)-- is your favorite 'star'?

Please give us a brief reason this person or story particularly appeals to you; tell as much or as little as you like.  I will enjoy reading whatever you say.

I will lead the way; (ha, I get to tell mine first).  If the same character is more than one person's favorite, it will be perfectly alright to say so and tell why.  It matters not if 23 people have the same favorite;  or if you find several personalities equally fascinating, just tell as many as you like.  This is for fun and enlightenment also.

Jacob and Rachel's son, Joseph, is my favorite Character and story in the Scriptures.

I never tire of reading about Joseph.  His life is such a perfect type of Jesus; but his story is so wonderful.

I just love reading the part about how after all those long years in Egypt, and all the suffering he went through there, he finally is made the governer of the land.  Then, when his brothers come into Egypt to buy food, how wonderfully Joseph deals with them before he finally reveals to them who he is.

Then, his dreams of how they would bow to him are fulfilled.  These dreams are what prompted them to sell him into Egypt out of jealousy.

Then, the wonder of Jacob finding out his favorite son, Joseph is still alive;  after he had thought him to be dead all those years, is just a never-ending thrill to me.

I read this to my children many times as they were growing up.  At times the Spirit of God would come and bear witness with such glory, it was just marvelous.

I love meditating about Joseph and all he went through.  It really shows the wonderous working of God with his people.

I am  looking forward to reading about your favorite 'star'.
