~ Some things God hates ~ By: Jo Smith --- 6-20-06

Does God love your ‘church?buildings? Did He ever ask for such? Did He ask David or Solomon to build Him a house? Does God love the Old Covenant? Did He set this up? Did God love their old feasts? Did He ask them to kill animals in sacrifice? Did He love their Sabbaths? Did He set up the priests and prophets to rule over others? Was the Old Testament Covenant of God?

All of these are questions which you need the true answers. Have any of your ‘leaders?taken the time to study and learn and teach you these important issues? Have you studied to learn this truth?

2Cor 3:7 But if the ministration of death, written and engraven in stones, was glorious, so that the children of Israel could not stedfastly behold the face of Moses for the glory of his countenance; which glory was to be done away:

Now study the above verse. That law which Moses ministered was DEATH. Did God give them death? Was it His choice? Do you really think so? Was not Adam commanded by God NOT to eat of that tree of death? Sure he was. So then, who was it that opened up this ‘tree of death? It was clearly, ADAM. God had said the day you eat of that tree, you will DIE. So this tree of the knowledge of good and evil brought them death. It was that LAW. By the LAW is the KNOWLEDGE of sin. (evil).

See that God said the ministration which Moses ministered, written on stones (that law) was DEATH. So this very clearly and without any doubt proves that the law of Moses was the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.

Now we know the Word says that God came down and wrote on those stones. But does this mean it was God’s chosen way? No! God had FORBIDDEN this. He had commanded Adam NOT to ‘eat?or partake of this death tree. The majority of people on down through the ages, since that time, have also chosen law over grace. They chose death instead of life. All who refuse the NT salvation, taught in the Book of Acts, are still choosing death instead of life. This is the vast majority of people.

So then, why did God give that law to Moses? It was imposed upon them, because of their sins in choosing law instead of Grace. Since man chose the law, God gave it to them and showed all peoples of all ages, the dire consequences of eating of this tree of the knowledge of good and evil, the LAW. If you choose law, you are choosing death, eternal death.

So now, in order to show what things are of God, life, and what things are of Satan, death, we must find in the Word, the things which God either loves or hates. We will explore some of these things in this message Keep in mind, that if God did away with a thing, He never did love it or call for it. All things which are truly of God will remain eternally, for God is eternal, and all things which are of God are eternal.

Will that law of Moses remain eternally? No!

2Cor 3:13 And not as Moses, which put a veil over his face, that the children of Israel could not stedfastly look to the end of that which is abolished 3:14 But their minds were blinded: for until this day remaineth the same veil untaken away in the reading of the old testament; which veil is done away in Christ. 3:15 But even unto this day, when Moses is read, the veil is upon their heart. 3:16 Nevertheless when it shall turn to the Lord, the veil shall be taken away.

See that Scriptures says that the end of that law of Moses was to be ABOLISHED. This means done away with. It also shows that this law blinded people, even when they ‘read?it today.

Now, loads of people dote so much on the old Jewish feasts. They think this is the height of the things from God. But is this so? Let the Word show us.

Amos 5:21 - I hate, I despise your feast days, and I will not smell in your solemn assemblies.

Am 5:22 Though ye offer me burnt offerings and your meat offerings, I will not accept them: neither will I regard the peace offerings of your fat beasts.

Am 5:23 Take thou away from me the noise of thy songs; for I will not hear the melody of thy viols.

Now that is strong words. God said I HATE AND DESPISE YOUR FEAST DAYS. Then He made it clear that he does not want their animal sacrifices. But then, he points out that he does not want their songs or music either! Does this pertain to all times? Of course it does. God does NOT CHANGE. If He ever hated these things, he has always hated them and will always hate them. If God hates these things, then it is proof that He never at any time called for them. Is there proof that HE never required these things? Yes! Now I will prove right here that folks hate those of us who speak these truths and rebuke all this evil. God said this:

Amos 5:10 They hate him that rebuketh in the gate, and they abhor him that speaketh uprightly. Am 5:11 Forasmuch therefore as your treading is upon the poor, and ye take from him burdens of wheat: ye have built houses of hewn stone, but ye shall not dwell in them; ye have planted pleasant vineyards, but ye shall not drink wine of them.

Those houses of hewn stone refers to their church buildings. It is not referring to their own homes. God would not be against their having homes of stone. They did not take from the poor to build their own homes. It was deceiving the poor into thinking it is doing God a service to build up those fancy ‘worship?building, which God calls PALACES. I will prove that God hates those PALACES.

Amos 6:3 Ye that put far away the evil day, and cause the seat of violence to come near; Am 6:4 That lie upon beds of ivory, and stretch themselves upon their couches, and eat the lambs out of the flock, and the calves out of the midst of the stall;

Am 6:5 That chant to the sound of the viol, and invent to themselves instruments of music, like David;

Am 6:6 That drink wine in bowls, and anoint themselves with the chief ointments: but they are not grieved for the affliction of Joseph.

Am 6:7 Therefore now shall they go captive with the first that go captive, and the banquet of them that stretched themselves shall be removed.

Am 6:8 The Lord GOD hath sworn by himself, saith the LORD the God of hosts, I abhor the excellency of Jacob, and hate his palaces: therefore will I deliver up the city with all that is therein.

Now the above Scripture proves that God hated their music, their singing, and their PALACES. God said he abhorred or hated the excellency of Jacob. See, almost everyone thinks God loved those things. But this says that God hated them. He identified right here, those priests eating the animal sacrifices. It also types the modern-day preachers who take from the poor to build up their fancy palaces, churches. These poor Christians are the true ‘sheep? and those preachers are ‘preying?off these sheep for their own benefit. God HATES this.

Ps 78:69 And he built his sanctuary like high PALACES, like the earth which he hath established for ever.

This shows that God likens his sanctuary to PALACES.

Isa 23:13 Behold the land of the Chaldeans; this people was not, till the Assyrian founded it for them that dwell in the wilderness: they set up the towers thereof, they raised up the PALACES thereof; and he brought it to ruin.

The ‘Assyrian?types or shows Satan, or Adam. So this shows that Adam set up these PALACES for his own benefit. Satan is the god of the palaces, or church buildings. God hates them.

Isa 34:13 And thorns shall come up in her PALACES, nettles and brambles in the fortresses thereof: and it shall be an habitation of dragons, and a court for owls.

Jer 6:5 Arise, and let us go by night, and let us destroy her PALACES.

Thorns, nettles and brambles are the law. See the command in Jer. 6:5, to God’s army, to go up by night and destroy her palaces.

Lam 2:5 The Lord was as an enemy: he hath swallowed up Israel, he hath swallowed up all her PALACES: he hath destroyed his strong holds, and hath increased in the daughter of Judah mourning and lamentation.

Now why would God be an enemy to Israel? Why would he swallow up all her PALACES? Why did he destroy his strong holds? What was Israel’s strong holds? The law, the palaces, the priests, the prophets, the Sabbaths, the kings, the animal sacrifices. Did God indeed hate all these things? Did he destroy all these things? Sure He did.

Lam 2:7 The Lord hath cast off his altar, he hath abhorred his sanctuary, he hath given up into the hand of the enemy the walls of her PALACES; they have made a noise in the house of the LORD, as in the day of a solemn feast.

Eze 19:7 And he knew their desolate PALACES, and he laid waste their cities; and the land was desolate, and the fulness thereof, by the noise of his roaring.

That said that God hated or abhorred his sanctuary and her palaces. He laid their cities waste. He was their enemy, a lion roaring against them. Why? Because He had never desired all those things they chose and brought up. Read Amos one, two, three and six, and you will see that God hated and destroyed the palaces of all those countries of that day.

Isa 1:11 To what purpose is the multitude of your sacrifices unto me? saith the LORD: I am full of the burnt offerings of rams, and the fat of fed beasts; and I delight not in the blood of bullocks, or of lambs, or of he goats.

Isa 1:12 When ye come to appear before me, who hath required this at your hand, to tread my courts?

Isa 1:13 Bring no more vain oblations; incense is an abomination unto me; the new moons and sabbaths, the calling of assemblies, I cannot away with; it is iniquity, even the solemn meeting.

Isa 1:14 Your new moons and your appointed feasts my soul hateth: they are a trouble unto me; I am weary to bear them.

Isa 1:15 And when ye spread forth your hands, I will hide mine eyes from you: yea, when ye make many prayers, I will not hear: your hands are full of blood.

I have used the above passage in many of my messages. And I will continue to do so as is needed to show this truth, that God never at any time loved or required the things of the Old Covenant, law. All those things are of law. God never brought these things up. He forbid them. He commanded Adam not to go to law, or that tree of death, or the knowledge of good and evil. All of these things are of LAW. God never required animal sacrifices. God never required large, fancy ‘worship?buildings, called Palaces or churches. It is of man or Satan. It is of law. God hates them and has always destroyed them, and will continue to destroy them until Jesus sets up His holy kingdom on earth. Then the only temple will be the Lamb and His Father. God said their hands were full of blood. He was speaking of all those innocent animals they killed and offered up. God said he never at any time received any pleasure from these things.

Read verse 13. Here God said their oblations were vain, their incense an abomination, and he hated their new moons, their Sabbaths, and their solemn meetings. Now all these things were of the law. So then if God hates these things, why would He require them? He made it clear in the above verses that He never required them. He asked them, who required this of you? Then why are they written in Scripture? Why did God tell them how to do these things? Because they had chosen Law over Grace. They were following Adam. God said they had chosen their own ways, and not God’s Way. So all those things were not of God. They clearly had to be of the tree of death, law, the knowledge of good and evil.

There were two trees in that Garden. One was the tree of life, the other was the tree of death. Adam chose death. Adam chose law. Adam brought up all those things which God declares he hates. So when you read in the Word of things which God hates, it is showing the things which were on the other side of the flood, in Adam’s kingdom. So then, Adam set up law, animal sacrifices, palaces, new moons, solemn assemblies, oblations, incense, and all the other things of law worship. He had no truth or Holy Spirit. He had only the DUST, for his meet or his portion or worship. It is manifest in the large churches, palaces. God hates these things. God said he HATED their FEASTS DAYS.

So all those OT Feasts are of Satan, not of God. God hates them. Why? Because it is works of the flesh, it is not worship in the spirit and truth. It is works of law. Did God ever desire or accept the blood of animals for the covering of sins? Of course not. God said he never had any pleasure in these things.

Did God approve the OT Law type worship? If so, why did he say this:

Isa 66:3 He that killeth an ox is as if he slew a man; he that sacrificeth a lamb, as if he cut off a dog's neck; he that offereth an oblation, as if he offered swine's blood; he that burneth incense, as if he blessed an idol. Yea, they have chosen their own ways, and their soul delighteth in their abominations.

See that he said it is the same as slaying a man to kill those lambs. He said offering oblations and burning incense is blessing an IDOL. Then he made it clear that this was their OWN WAYS THEY HAVE CHOSEN. It was never God’s Way. God said their soul delights in their abominations. These things are ABOMINATIONS TO GOD. These are the things they chose, and these things are their own things.

Isa 66:1 Thus saith the LORD, The heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool: where is the house that ye build unto me? and where is the place of my rest?

If God wanted men to build him a ‘house?why would he be saying this? Do you think perhaps God is just playing jokes on people?

Acts 7:47 But Solomon built him an house. Ac 7:48 Howbeit the most High dwelleth not in temples made with hands; as saith the prophet, Ac 7:49 Heaven is my throne, and earth is my footstool: what house will ye build me? saith the Lord: or what is the place of my rest? Ac 7:50 Hath not my hand made all these things?

Ac 7:51 Ye stiffnecked and uncircumcised in heart and ears, ye do always resist the Holy Ghost: as your fathers did, so do ye.

As your ‘fathers?did, so do ye. Who was their fathers? Those OT Law folks. Adam and those men on the other side of the flood were their fathers. So all of this proves that the very things we are naming, came from their fathers and was an abomination to God. He said they did ALWAYS resist the Holy Ghost. So then, that law, OT type of worship was not of the Holy Ghost. So this proves that Adam did not have the Holy Ghost or the right kind of worship. He had all this stuff God declares that He hates. See that he said “AS YOUR FATHERS DID, SO DO YE?

So this proves that as the men of Stephen’s day were doing, this is just the same as their olden fathers had done. They were killing the righteous, as Cain did to Abel. This proves that all of Adam’s kingdom, those who followed him, did these same old evil things.

So that is how I came to understand that church buildings, steeples, holiday festivities, animal sacrifices, incense burning, law, and all these things are of Satan, or Adam, and were practiced by that generation of ADAM. Surely you can see that it is these things God is saying he hates and was their chosen way.

So, all those old feast days were of Satan or Adam. It was the DUST type worship which God gave to Adam, or the serpent. It was his meet. It was his portion. It is not worship in spirit and truth, which is all that the true God ever accepted or desired.

Now I realize it will be very hard for people to see these things. But see that God anointed his Son, Adam, to be the covering. He was supposed to have led the people to the true God and true worship. He was to have taught people the right ways of God. God gave the world to Adam to rule or have dominion over. He was to have ruled in love, not by force or law. But instead, Adam went into the things of law and became a cruel ruler. Many Scriptures show this. Know also that this anointing has never been taken away from Adam. He still rules this world in cruelty. He set himself up as god. Now this is the very reason the world thinks the true God is a God of cruelty and violence. It was not the true God ruling this way. It was his son, Adam. The world sees the things of Adam as being of God.

They think God set up animal sacrifices. He did not. Adam did this. It is law. Those things are offered by Law. They are not part of the grace covenant. God is a God of Grace, not law. God never had people killed. Adam did. God never said keep one day above another. His worship is in spirit and truth. God never said if you pick up a stick on the Sabbath, you will be killed. This is of Adam. God hates all those things. God hates their feasts, their Sabbaths, their oblations, all those things. It is time people see the real truth of God. He is not cruel or evil. Adam is. Adam is ruling this world in vengeance.

Lam2:6 And he hath violently taken away his tabernacle, as if it were of a garden: he hath destroyed his places of the assembly: the LORD hath caused the solemn feasts and sabbaths to be forgotten in Zion, and hath despised in the indignation of his anger the king and the priest.

Lam 2:7 The Lord hath cast off his altar, he hath abhorred his sanctuary, he hath given up into the hand of the enemy the walls of her palaces; they have made a noise in the house of the LORD, as in the day of a solemn feast.

Lam 2:9 Her gates are sunk into the ground; he hath destroyed and broken her bars: her king and her princes are among the Gentiles: the law is no more; her prophets also find no vision from the LORD.

Now those verses prove that God destroyed everything of that old law nation’s ways. He took away the tabernacle, the Sabbaths, the king, the priest, his altar, he hated his sanctuary, the wall of her palaces, her gates, her bars (law), her king and her princes, the law and her prophets. Now that takes in all of it. He did away with all of that Old Testament way of life and worship. The sun went down over the prophets. Now it is all darkness. To go back to those things is death. Why will you die?
