Lu 4:5 And the devil, taking him up into an high mountain, showed unto him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time.

Lu 4:6 And the devil said unto him, All this power will I give thee, and the glory of them: for that is delivered unto me; and to whomsoever I will I give it.

Lu 4:7 If thou therefore wilt worship me, all shall be thine. Lu 4:8 And Jesus answered and said unto him, Get thee behind me, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.

Linda, last night, I could not sleep, so I got up to read. The Word opened to Luke 4. Marveled me, since you had written on this yesterday. I got some good things reading this last night.

God gave dominion, or rulership of this world to his son, Adam. Notice the devil said to Jesus, of the kingdoms of all the world, all of this is delivered unto me. I give it to whomsoever I will. That had to be Adam talking to Jesus, for God has given dominion of this world to no one else.

Then Satan said, I will give it all to you IF YOU WILL WORSHIP ME. See that? It is that same old evil spirit of Adam, wanting to be God; wanting to be worshipped.

Jesus said to him, Get thee behind me, Satan. Same words he said to Peter when Peter rebuked him for not wanting to be king now. So, Peter was in the very same roll as this one tempting Jesus. So it was another man. It was Adam.

Lu 4:24 And he said, Verily, I say unto you, No prophet is accepted in his own country.

Lu 4:25 But I tell you of a truth, many widows were in Israel in the days of Elias, when the heaven was shut up three years and six months, when great famine was throughout all the land;

Lu 4:26 But unto none of them was Elias sent, save unto Sarepta, a city of Sidon, unto a woman that was a widow.

Lu 4:27 And many lepers were in Israel in the time of Eliseus the prophet; and none of them was cleansed, saving Naaman the Syrian.

Lu 4:28 And all they in the synagogue, when they heard these things, were filled with wrath,

Lu 4:29 And rose up, and thrust him out of the city, and led him unto the brow of the hill whereon their city was built, that they might cast him down headlong.

Lu 4:30 But he passing through the midst of them went his way, Lu 4:31 And came down to Capernaum, a city of Galilee, and taught them on the sabbath days.

Lu 4:32 And they were astonished at his doctrine: for his word was with power.

Notice that when Jesus spoke of the greatest faith he had seen not being from an Israelite, but of other countries, those Jews became so angry at him, they rose up and thrust him out of the city and tried to murder him. Why? All he had done was to tell them the TRUTH.

He had said, Elias was not sent unto anyone of Israel, but to a woman of Sidon. And No Israelite with leprous was healed but only the Syrian.

This angered those Jews so much that they tried to kill Jesus. This is the very same evil spirit we see in people when we tell them to truth about their false leaders, teachers, churches, and doctrine. They TRUTH makes them so angry that they hit us with all manner of evil speaking. It is this same spirit which you see in those Jews here, that Jesus was speaking to. He only told them the truth, and for this, they wanted to murder him.

Lu 4:40 Now when the sun was setting, all they that had any sick with divers diseases brought them unto him; and he laid his hands on every one of them, and healed them. Lu 4:41 And devils also came out of many, crying out, and saying, Thou art Christ the Son of God. And he rebuking them suffered them not to speak: for they knew that he was Christ.

Notice here that Jesus laid his hands on every one who came to him and healed them and cast devils out of many. He did NOT ask about their sins, nor did he inquire if they had been paying tithes anywhere. He did not question them at all.

How could anyone, who was a true leader sent from God, say that they would only pray for someone who had been paying tithes and not in sin? This is not taught anywhere in Scripture. It proves these leaders who set up false churches were not of God, yet millions follow them, without question. They will be judged for this, in that they did not prove them with the Word of God.

Lu 5:4 Now when he had left speaking, he said unto Simon, Launch out into the deep, and let down your nets for a draught.

Lu 5:5 And Simon answering said unto him, Master, we have toiled all the night, and have taken nothing: nevertheless at thy word I will let down the net.

Lu 5:6 And when they had this done, they enclosed a great multitude of fishes: and their net brake.

Lu 5:7 And they beckoned unto their partners, which were in the other ship, that they should come and help them. And they came, and filled both the ships, so that they began to sink.

Lu 5:8 When Simon Peter saw it, he fell down at Jesus' knees, saying, Depart from me; for I am a sinful man, O Lord.

Lu 5:9 For he was astonished, and all that were with him, at the draught of the fishes which they had taken:

Lu 5:10 And so was also James, and John, the sons of Zebedee, which were partners with Simon. And Jesus said unto Simon, Fear not; from henceforth thou shalt catch men.

Lu 5:11 And when they had brought their ships to land, they forsook all, and followed him.

As I was reading this and I came to the part where Jesus told Peter to let down his net for a catch, and Peter said to him, we have fished all night and caught nothing? But at your word, I will let the net down.

I thought Peter really did not believe it would do any good, and this is why he explained that they had caught nothing ALL NIGHT. He really felt it would be useless to let the net down again, but he wanted to not hurt Jesus by refusing. I could just sense that this is how Peter felt.

Then when It said that they caught so many fish it began to sink the ships, and the net broke, and Peter fell down before Jesus and said, depart from me Oh Lord. For I am a sinful man. I laughed and laughed, for I thought to myself, Peter thought this because he had secretly said to himself, that we will catch nothing. He was calling himself a sinful man, because he saw that he HAD NOT BELIEVED THE LORD HERE.

Then the next verse proves this, and It was the first time I had ever caught this, that this is why Peter called himself a sinful man. It said, FOR he was astonished and all that were with him, at the draught of fishes which they had taken.

See none of them had believed that it would do any good, they just let the net down to keep from insulting the Lord by refusing. So they saw that Jesus knew what he was speaking about. But this is why Peter thought himself a sinful man -- he had doubted the words of Jesus.

Lu 6:1 And it came to pass on the second sabbath after the first, that he went through the corn fields; and his disciples plucked the ears of corn, and did eat, rubbing them in their hands.

Lu 6:2 And certain of the Pharisees said unto them, Why do ye that which is not lawful to do on the sabbath days?

Notice here that Jesus was NOT going by the law as to what he did on the Sabbath day. He was not attempting to keep any 4th commandment of the old covenant.

Lu 6:20 And he lifted up his eyes on his disciples, and said, Blessed be ye poor: for yours is the kingdom of God.

Notice here that Jesus said the POOR are blessed for theirs is the kingdom of God. Sure Glad that God does not feel about the poor as certain ‘church?leaders did!

Lu 6:22 Blessed are ye, when men shall hate you, and when they shall separate you from their company, and shall reproach you, and cast out your name as evil, for the Son of man's sake.

Lu 6:23 Rejoice ye in that day, and leap for joy: for, behold, your reward is great in heaven: for in the like manner did their fathers unto the prophets.

Lu 6:24 But woe unto you that are rich! for ye have received your consolation.

Notice in the other verses, which I did not quote, how those of the law hated Jesus for healing on their Sabbath and tried to get something on him to accuse him of.

Jesus said we are blessed when men hate us and separate us from them and reproach us for his sake, for we have a great reward in heaven. This is how their fathers did the prophets of God.

Then Jesus said, WOE TO YOU THAT ARE RICH, for ye have received your consolation. He did not bless the rich and say they would have great reward in heaven. He said that they have now is their consolation. He did not cater to the rich, and ignore the poor. He shows here it is right the opposite with God. Their riches is all the reward they will ever receive, so why run after riches?

These next verses are Jesus showing us how to live a holy Christian life. Please someone, show me where any of this is taught in the old ten commandment law.

Lu 6:27 But I say unto you which hear, Love your enemies, do good to them which hate you,

Lu 6:28 Bless them that curse you, and pray for them which despitefully use you.

Lu 6:29 And unto him that smiteth thee on the one cheek offer also the other; and him that taketh away thy cloak forbid not to take thy coat also.

Lu 6:30 Give to every man that asketh of thee; and of him that taketh away thy goods ask them not again.

Lu 6:31 And as ye would that men should do to you, do ye also to them likewise.

Lu 4:16 And he came to Nazareth, where he had been brought up: and, as his custom was, he went into the synagogue on the sabbath day, and stood up for to read.

Lu 4:17 And there was delivered unto him the book of the prophet Esaias. And when he had opened the book, he found the place where it was written,

Lu 4:18 The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,

Lu 4:19 To preach the acceptable year of the Lord.

Lu 4:20 And he closed the book, and he gave it again to the minister, and sat down. And the eyes of all them that were in the synagogue were fastened on him.

Lu 4:21 And he began to say unto them, This day is this scripture fulfilled in your ears.

Lu 4:22 And all bare him witness, and wondered at the gracious words which proceeded out of his mouth. And they said, Is not this Joseph's son?

Notice this verse: 18 The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor;

Jesus had been anointed to PREACH THE GOSPEL TO WHOM? THE RICH? Not hardly. He said, TO THE POOR.

Sure puts the damper on a certain lady leader, who only wanted her church to minister to those of the HIGH UP CLASS, doesn’t it?

Don’t think hers was a ministry of Jesus Christ. It could not be, for it is not of the same SPIRIT.
