BecameRN Weapon Engineering School when Branch changed its name in 1960’s | HMS Dartmouth | Officers training school. Used to be known as HMS Britannia , but renamed in 1953 to release name for Royal Yacht. Renamed Britannia Royal Naval College. Training was originally carried out on various ships until 1905 when it moved ashore and building of the current college began. | HMS Dolphin | Originally occupied by Royal Engineers, became submarine base and school.
