I have been watching NASCAR for a couple years but have not got too into it yet. I just have a few questions that should help me when setting my fantasy teams.

1. Where would I find a list of who is trying to qualify?

2. Are some drivers exempted from qualifying, do they automatically get in based on past performance?

3. How many drivers usually try to qualify?

4. Are there always 43 drivers in the race?

5. Where do babies come from?

Thanks, Derek

I have been watching NASCAR for a couple years but have not got too into it yet. I just have a few questions that should help me when setting my fantasy teams.

1. Where would I find a list of who is trying to qualify? Nascar.com, Jayski.com

2. Are some drivers exempted from qualifying, do they automatically get in based on past performance? The top 35 in owners points are automatically in the race no matter how bad a qualifying run they have. I believe the first 5 races, they go by 2005 final owners points, and from race 6 until the end, they go by this years top 35 in owners points.

3. How many drivers usually try to qualify? Daytona usually gets around 55 entries, most about 45-47 entries. Some of the West coast races draw about 50, as some Nascar West drivers enter in also.

4. Are there always 43 drivers in the race? YES.

5. Where do babies come from?

Thanks, Derek

Thank-you OFB. I am just trying to figure a way to set my teams without getting someone that doesn't qualify.

So, if I got this figured out, I should be able to pick anyone from the 35 drivers listed in the losers pool for the 1st 5 races, then after that anyone in the top 35 points?

Now I have no excuses not to be leading these games. LOL

Granted, Ken is awesome for keeping us Gangstas together, Princess may get a lil behind, Bruce may forget but will soon realize he loves Ken as a brother.  That's life. Any Questions?
