Hey!
I have a test coming up this week and we got a list of things we should know from our prof. and theres one thing I don't understand.
We are suppose to know how the structure of benzene is explained by resonance, the orbital picture, and molecular orbital theory.
I think resonance tells if the double bonds are fully conjugated or not. but I'm not sure about the other two.
We have in our notes "All pie bonding electrons are accomodated in bonding molecular orbitals (MO) in the ground state" Any idea what that means??
Thanks a bunch,
Nicole
