OK I guess we already know how to play this game it is a sort of Bible Quiz.Puzzle.

Olive was the winner in our first game so lets see who will get it this time.

God gets angry on numerous occasions. Jesus got angry himself and spoke in parables about the anger of kings whose feast invitations are ignored. But God also likes to say, "I am slow to anger and abounding in steadfast mercy." And Jesus said, "You have heard it said you shall not kill, but I say anyone who is angry is in danger." And Paul put anger in a list with fornication, licentiousness, idolatry, sorcery, selfishness, dissension, and other bad things to keep us from expressing it. We have had a funny relationship with anger for a long time. Generally stated, it is OK for God and Jesus, but don't try this at home. Anger appeared as the third worst sin of the seven deadly ones, on the ancient list behind pride and envy, but does it really belong there?

What did God do when he gave authority to someone in scripture?

When GOD gave authority to someone in Scripture, HE changed the name of that person.

1. GOD renamed Abram to Abraham when He made him the 'Father of a Multitude of Nations', in Gen 17:5. HE gave Abraham 'primacy' over all other men.

2. GOD renamed Sara to Sarah when HE made her the 'Mother of Nations' in Gen 17:15-16. HE gave Sarah 'primacy' over all other women.

3. GOD renamed Jacob to Israel, the name of the Jewish Nation, and Jacob became the first Israeli in Gen 32:29, 35:10.

4. GOD renamed Simon to Peter in Matt 16:18, thus giving him 'primacy' over all of the Apostles. Why else would GOD give a new name to Simon?

I have not looked in every version, but in the KJV, NKJ and the NIV there are 6, in the Frisian Bible there are 6, and the Dutch Bible likewise has 6. So I say:

This is what Matthew 1:23 says:

" Behold a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us."

Some versions use the name Immanuel!!
