Denise, I am so sorry. I know how  hard it is to lose a beloved friend and companion. I know that there are many others here that will feel as I do. You will be inmy thoughts and prayers.

I'm so very sorry, Denise.  I too have had to put my pets down and
it is the most heart breaking thing in the world.
I hope, in time, you can find comfort in the fact that you
gave Punkin a good home and lots of love.
There are so many little critters that don't have
anyone to care for them.
And, in time, when the pain and hurt eases some, you
may find it in your heart to love another.....some
little critter that needs a loving home and someone
to care.
In my prayers

Be assured in thought that all your friends here at Cookin feel your pain for your loss. I cried for a month or so every time someone barely mentioned the name of a sweet little mouse we had. We had so much fun made of us over getting so attached to this dumb mouse as it was referred to by others.
I don't know how things will be when my precious Willie is here no more. That is my pet rabbit. We have become best of friends. The Fire Dept where we live, asks my hubby every time he's around, HOW IS WILLIE!
  Really Spoiled!

Dear Denise -
My thoughts are with you - Please know that I understand what you are going thru - in your pain try to remember that you saved Punkin from pain and she will be waiting for you at the RainBow Bridge.  And do consider what Mary said - there are so many lonely and abused FurBabies out there that need a loving home.
