Hello,

I have been pursueing my family tree and have traced several branches back to Dallas County.  I have found Harris, Hildebrands, Johnsons, Phillips, Rockwells and others. I have several questions, but two of them are this, John Harris married a Malinda Potts, presumably both are buried in Dallas county.  I'm trying to find out where and who their parents were.  Secondly,  My grandmother was supposedly married to Mahlon Patrick Galvin in the home of her father Ernest Johnson.  Her name was Doris Irene Johnson. This was her second marriage and took place abt. 1942. This marriage was supposedly in Dallas County.  Her first marriage was to Roy Herschel Harris. Would anyone have ideas on where to find these answers?

Karen

You didn't give a lot of information in your question, but this is what I have. John Harris was born in 1834 in Tenn. Malinda Potts was born in 1838 in Ill. Her father was born in Kentucky and her mother was born in Tenn. I don't have anything on your other couple. Do you have birth dates or any thing else about them?

John Harris according to the dates I have was born Dec. 25, 1831 in Monroe Co. Tn and died Dec. 14, 1920 in Dallas Co.. Malinda Potts wa born Jan. 6, 1938 in Ill. and died Dec. 29, 1936 Dallas Co.. Doris Galvin was born July 28, 1911 in IA, died 1971 in IA. She had been previously married to Roy Herschel Harris. Her father was Ernest Johnson and did live in Dallas County off and on. She divorced Roy and married Mahlon Patrick Galvin supposedly at Ernest's home in MO
around 1942-1944.
