Transforming Bad News Into Good
It is a paradox that bad news is best dealt with by avoiding it. If you turn off the television news, you ignore the bad news that does little more than induce fear in people. Actually, it's getting harder for news stations to find bad news. Crime reports are getting scarcer because crime keeps declining.
For the last thirty years, and especially during the last ten years, crime statistics have been falling steadily. The U.S. Bureau of Justice statistics show that, for the thirty-year period, 1975-2005, the rate of violent crime has dropped a full 50%, while the rate of property theft has plummeted by a whopping 72%!
The underlying reason is that a new wave of consciousness is being born into this world as the Old Reality steadily fades away. Humanity has one foot in the New Reality and it keeps pushing the envelope to explore the expanded vistas of heart-centered consciousness.
People in Old Reality consciousness are used to holding their energy close in to themselves as a defense against possible attack, so they sometimes view an open and loving heart as a sign of weakness. What they don't understand is that heart-centered consciousness sees a wider vista of consciousness and that its natural emanation of healing love energy precludes the likelihood of most forms of attack.
When you turn off bad news, you avoid wallowing in its negativity and thus lowering your frequency of consciousness. Instead, you have the option to support the world with higher consciousness. What you think and feel flows from you directly into the Global Mind atmosphere which surrounds this planet. A more enlightened sense of personal responsibility leads you to help to heal, rather than pollute, the mental atmosphere which we all share.
But what if the bad news lands on your own personal doorstep and can't be shut out?
If it's personal to you, or to someone close to you, then the same principle applies, but you need to apply a specific effort to it. New Thought author Emmett Fox (1886-1951) developed a technique called The Golden Key. He counseled people to stop thinking about the difficulty at hand and to think about God instead. By focusing on the spiritual, the person's attention reaches a higher level of consciousness where the best solution can be perceived.
When a person practices Golden Keying, the problem is soon resolved. What happens is that your inner being is able to resolve the problem once you move into a state of spiritual awareness. You are then in a conscious position to perceive the wisdom of your inner being as it determines the optimal path, or what I call The Elegant Solution. The situation may simply be healed by the presence of the spiritual energy which can flow through the person when they are attuned within.
At the level of your inner being you have access to enormous vistas of awareness, clear intuitive insight into the essence of every situation, and the vision to see how each possible solution would actually unfold if chosen. It is only in our outer consciousness that we run around in the outer world, stressed and worried, pretending that we don't know the answers to problems!
The answers, the energy, and the healing are all available within. It just takes intent plus quiet time to gain access to the abundant resources of your inner being.

The Power of Imagination by Owen Waters
In the dream state, you create any reality that you desire. In a dream, you can be with anyone you imagine and in any surroundings that you choose. In a dream, you might be walking through the local scenery, then suddenly switch to driving in a car and, finally, be flying through the air to get somewhere more quickly. The background scenery can change from one scene to another in a split-second.
When you awake, you may dismiss the dream as an imaginary, fast-changing jumble of pure fantasy. After all, when you come back into the cold, solid light of the physical world, the dream world seems so unreal. But is it? Are all dreams just your imagination running wild, or are those scenic backdrops really created around you within the very fabric of the dream world?
What about those times when you awake from a dream that seemed so real, you find it hard to believe that it wasn't real. And yet, you've been taught to believe that dreams are never real, so then you struggle between that in-built belief and the fact that you've just had a very real dream experience.
For example, in a dream, was that really your favorite granddad visiting you, or did you just make it all up? And why did he look so much younger than when he was alive?
Now, here is the surprising secret. Dreams are real. Very real. When you are dreaming, you are out of your physical body and functioning in your spirit body in the spirit world.
The fabric of the dream world, or spirit world, is called etheric energy. Mystics call it the 'astral light' but, technically speaking, its correct name is ethero-magnetic energy. The substances of the physical world, on the other hand, are composed of electro-magnetic energy. Your spirit body is composed of etheric energy and so is the world that surrounds you when you are in the spirit, or astral, world.
Etheric energy responds instantly to your thought commands. If you want to change your appearance - shape shift - then just think it, and it will be so. If you want to change your surroundings, just imagine a new set of surroundings and they will appear. At least, to your perception, they will, and to anyone in your close proximity.
Those surroundings are created for you temporarily, as a backdrop, by the power of your imagination. The real surroundings of that location are independent of your imaginative creations, which survive only for as long as you pay attention to them. In the spirit world, these mental creations are called thought forms. The more powerful your ability to mentally focus, the larger and more vivid you can make your thought forms. Within the spirit world, they are solid to the touch, as are the bodies of other spirits.
This demonstrates that, in the spirit world, your imagination is very real as it creates new realities instantly. In the physical world, your imagination creates realities over time. In fact, new realities manifest only after you have applied the necessary physical action in order to organize them in the physical world.
Physical realities don't just manifest out of thin air like they do in the spirit world. You have to intend them, energize them with your feelings, and then walk them through the steps that will enable them to become physically manifest using existing materials.
The common key between the dream world and the physical world is that imagination creates realities. In the spirit world, they manifest instantly and in accordance with the degree of your mental focus. In the physical world they manifest slowly, also in proportion to the effort that you invest in making them happen.
Never let it be said that, "It's only your imagination." In the saga of life, your imagination is everything. It is your creative faculty. It has, quite simply, the power and the potential to change the world.

Spiritual Metaphysics Defined by Owen Waters
While physics is the study of physical reality, metaphysics includes that which is beyond the physical, but not necessarily that which is spiritual. Spiritual metaphysics takes an entirely different orientation. Spiritual metaphysics sees an ultimate, metaphysical source of all creation as the basis of reality.
This one spiritual source is known by various terms, including The Absolute, Infinite Being, or the All That Is. The term Infinite Being encapsulates the idea of infinite consciousness, beyond which nothing else can exist.
Everybody's Doing It!
A spiritual revolution in human consciousness began in earnest in the 1960s. Prior to that, the psychologist Maslow estimated that only 2% of the population had achieved the spiritually aware stage of self-actualization. The mid-1960s changed everything and the spiritual revolution began. Masses of people began the search for the higher values, such as unconditional love and spiritual wisdom. While the outward fads of the sixties came and went, the flame of spiritual yearning never went out. It quietly grew as people searched, reflected and found their spiritual freedom.
Thirty years later, that core group of progressive society had blossomed from 2% to over 20%, and it keeps expanding more each year. Most of these progressive thinkers are conscious spiritual seekers, with a sense of self that is a real, inner being rather than an outwardly-focused, ego type of self. The global shift towards spiritual awareness is, to put it simply, the most wonderful transformation in recorded history. This is where humanity eventually gets to build, literally, Heaven on Earth.
Why the Creator Is Larger Than the Universe
If nothing exists beyond the consciousness of Infinite Being, then the universe was formed within, not outside of, its consciousness. The spiritual source of all life, Infinite Being, is therefore greater than the universe which it created within itself.
The spiritual concept of God employs terms like omnipresent, omnipotent and omniscient to express the idea of infinite consciousness. From this expansive point of view, God the Original Creator is greater than all manifestation and, yet, is aware of every part of that manifestation.
The Conscious Universe
While physics ponders how to cater for the 'mysterious' effects of consciousness in experiments, spiritual metaphysics sees beyond the mystery. Because all things are made of consciousness, then all things are conscious. All things are aware in their own way.
When you see the universe from this spiritual perspective, it is no longer a mystery why a pair of related atomic particles consciously communicate with each other. Two atomic particles can communicate with each other because they have their own consciousness. They may not have the self-awareness of human beings, but, when they meet, they remember each other and stay in communication. If one collides with an obstacle, then the other one feels it and responds accordingly.
Research in spiritual metaphysics does not take place in the laboratory. Instead, it's an inside job; the primary research tool of spiritual metaphysics is the accessing of expanded states of awareness through meditation. For example, in deep meditation, you can expand your awareness to the limits of space and observe the shape of the universe.
The Universe is a Giant Doughnut
Physicists agree that the universe may be torroidal-shaped, but they have no physical proof as yet. Moving beyond physics and into spiritual metaphysics, which is where all the fun stuff happens, you discover that this doughnut-shaped universe is really nothing more than a projection within the consciousness of its Creator. Space no longer exists beyond the outer envelope of the universe, only the consciousness that created that space.
Space is a Fabrication of Consciousness
Space is no more than a concept in consciousness. It isn't really "out there." Everything made from consciousness is "in here," within you. Space is a projection within consciousness, manufactured for a specific effect. What appears to be "over there" is really just another one of an infinite number of viewpoints within the great "Here and Now."
The universe was created as a living theater of expression and humanity opted for total immersion within the drama of this theater of life. We live in search of the truth about life, and yet we feel disconnected from its source. We focus upon a world that appears to be exterior to us. Our five senses keep our brains so busy that it takes determination to find the peace and wisdom which lies within. Enormous resources of information, guidance and support are available through our inner being. When we direct our attention within, we gain access to those resources.
The Mirror on the Stage of Life
Spiritual metaphysics sees the universe as a mirror. Who you are, and what you express in thought, feeling and action, causes the mirror of life to reflect that back to you.
If, for example, you like yourself, then other people will like you, often without even knowing why. So, if you want people to like you more, you need only discover and dissolve the inner blocks that are keeping you from an unconditional love and acceptance of yourself. When you love yourself more, in an unconditional manner, life will reflect your improved attitude towards yourself and other people will love you more.
The mirror of life is automatic. Once you change yourself, and not before, the reflection changes and your reality transforms to reflect the new you.
Unity With the Oneness Within
Your true, inner being is found in silence. Your inner being is who you are. It is your soul. Your inner being is your personal link to the universe and to its source, Infinite Being. It is in this silence that you come to realize that everything in the universe is one, that separation is actually an illusion. In the light of this inner, soul connection, you also find your sense of unconditional love for all of life and all of humanity.

The Secret of Having a Grateful Heart Giving thanks is the expression of gratitude, and gratitude is one of the most beautiful secrets in spiritual life.
Gratitude is a form of love, and love is something which flows from the Creator of the universe through all forms of life and manifestation. Without love, life in the universe cannot exist. Love is the universal force of preservation which holds creation in manifestation.
The Natural Flow of Love
Love is as natural as the universe. By design, there is a tension between the forces of creation and universal love. It is this tension which controls the size of the universe, holding it within its envelope. It is this tension which regulates the size of an electron's orbit around a nucleus. Love is the force which retains electrons in their orbits, making atoms possible and the existence of life as we know it.
You can block love, or you can allow it to flow naturally through you. Falling in love with another person is an allowance of the flow of love through your heart. In a world where everything has the appearance of separateness, it is a surrender to the underlying unity of all life. It is a place of apparent vulnerability, a willingness to take the risk that separation will once again return if that love is later lost.
When you allow your heart to open to the universe's flow of love, gratitude comes with that flow. Gratitude for being alive, for just existing, for just being in the flow of the adventure of life. Gratitude for the Sun that gives us life. Gratitude for the Earth that gives us our home in the cosmos. Gratitude for the people that you love, and for those who share your journey through life.
Gratitude flows unimpeded from an open heart. When you allow it, it flows as freely as the sunshine, unobstructed by judgments or conditions.
Quality of Life
One of the most endearing things a person can say to a loved one is this:
"I'm grateful for having you in my life, and I appreciate you for who you are."
If you haven't already tried this, try it sometime. It adds new meaning to the words, "quality of life."

Seven Facets of Spiritual Awareness by Owen Waters Life can be a treadmill of mundane details or it can be an inspiring adventure of uplifting experiences. Through the regular, daily practice of meditation, you can start each day by raising your frequency of consciousness above the mundane, work-a-day level into the spiritual realms of consciousness. Here are seven facets of spiritual awareness which unfold as a result of daily meditation. Any technique will work. The Infinite Being meditation technique is particularly effective. Spiritual Awareness Facet Number One ?Flow A sense of flow attracts synchronicity into your life’s events. This almost magical sense enables you to always be in the appropriate place at the appropriate time in order to gain the most out of the experiences that the complete you, your inner self, planned for this life. Spiritual Awareness Facet Number Two - Unconditional Love You develop a sense of unconditional love for the inner, spiritual essence of all the people that you connect with in your life. Even the difficult people, as they are often holding up a mirror for you to understand an aspect of past habits which, deep down, you would like to examine at this time. Your sense of unconditional love naturally includes full acceptance of yourself, just as you are, with the personality that you adopted for this lifetime of experience. You can catch those old thought patterns of self-criticism and remember that you live in a universe which is naturally full of love and unconditional acceptance. Spiritual Awareness Facet Number Three ?Abundance Accept abundance as the natural flow of the universe. Forget those opinions about there being something wrong with money. It’s a form of energy and the universe is filled with energy. Life gets a lot more convenient when you are abundant. It gets really inconvenient when you are not. When you follow your innermost joy, you find yourself doing work that you love and find absorbing. When you find your work absorbing, you become very good at it, without feeling that it took a lot of effort to become that highly skilled. When you are good at your work, employers and customers alike hear about you by word-of-mouth recommendation and they seek you out. The more in-demand your services become, the more they are worth. Following your inner joy is the secret to finding and developing an occupation which brings natural abundance. Spiritual Awareness Facet Number Four - Intuitive Insight Both men and women find that, with regular spiritual practices, their sense of intuition develops smoothly and naturally. Soon, your insights grow to become very valuable in dealing with the challenges of life. Spiritual Awareness Facet Number Five - Creativity A growing sense of creativity becomes apparent when spiritual practices become your daily routine. You discover new ways to achieve results because you see situations from a broader perspective. Spiritual Awareness Facet Number Six - Wisdom Advances in spiritual wisdom and understanding come with deep meditation. In meditation, it is important to let distracting, surface thoughts dissipate so that deeper realizations may surface at the time that they are needed. Spiritual Awareness Facet Number Seven - Raising World Consciousness When you detach from worldly concerns and express a higher frequency of consciousness, the conflicts of the lower frequencies of consciousness become automatically healed. When you let go of any form of conflict within yourself, you are able to rise to a higher frequency of consciousness in a state of harmony and balance. Higher frequencies of consciousness hold a higher power. Not just a slightly higher power. The power ratio of spiritual consciousness to conflict-oriented consciousness is many thousands to one. If you allow balance to enter your life through a spiritual state of consciousness, it will manifest immediately and very powerfully in your daily life. You will also be helping to raise the global consciousness in a very powerful and constructive manner. | | | |

Help for New Year's Resolutions by Owen Waters
"Nature abhors a vacuum."
That's what my nephew said when his mother asked why he hadn't cleaned his room!
The same rule, however, can also be applied to helping your New Year's resolutions to successfully unfold. If you clear out the old, you'll make room for the new.
When you have old, unfinished issues or projects, they'll always get in the way of the new projects that need to be done next. So, create a vacuum by bringing closure to old, unfinished business.
Simplify your surroundings. Downsize any clutter, no matter how long it takes. Once the clutter is gone, it's gone for good. The same goes for personal relationships. If another person is holding you back by often engaging your time in a negative way, maybe now is the time to change the way you let them deal with you and use your time.
You do need to treat yourself with the love and support that you deserve. And, as a part of the all-pervasive Infinite Being, you automatically deserve the very best of everything. Within you is everything that Infinite Being is. How could you deserve anything less than the best? So, plan for the best and make room for it to happen.
New Year is a wonderful time to simplify your life so that new, exciting and rewarding activities can fill the vacuum. This is the New Reality. It's a higher vibration than the old one. The pace of life is accelerating and it won't be slowing down. Gain insights through meditation into how you can simplify your life, bring closure to old issues and be better able to handle the new pace of life.
Happy New Year!

The Many Benefits of Meditation by Owen Waters
The hustle and bustle of today's fast-paced world almost makes you want to cry out, "Where can I find some peace and quiet?"
Meditation has become a very popular answer to the need for balance in today's fast-moving society. Meditation was designed primarily for spiritual development, rather than mental or physical benefits. However, by nourishing the spiritual self, its benefits are then reflected throughout the human mind and body.
Spiritual benefits:
Human beings function on spiritual, mental, emotional and physical levels, with each level impressing the next. Your soul impresses your mind and helps you to choose your beliefs about reality. These beliefs then channel your thoughts into patterns which fit into that view of reality. Your thoughts feed into your emotions, and your emotions affect the well-being of your physical form.
It makes sense, therefore, to see that the root of the human tree, your spiritual self, is given the best possible nourishment.
Through meditation you contact the most real part of you. This part is the spiritual source which existed before your physical body was formed. Through contact with that reality, the essence of your soul, you become more identified with that inner you. Your inner self is who you really are. Then, you begin to realize more of your potential because you are able to identify what that potential is.
Your soul is the fountain of wisdom within you. It has access to all information in the universe because it is consciously connected to the entire universe. Your soul is your personal connection to Infinite Being.
Through contacting your inner self, you become more aware of your greatest inner joy. When you follow that innermost joy, you consciously resonate with your soul and manifest your true potential in life. This inner resonance enhances your intuition, making you more capable of choosing the best options in life. This increases the synchronicity in your life as you have then achieved a natural flow which is more in harmony with the universe around you.
Mental benefits:
Living in the now is a spiritual practice and a habit which requires mental attention. By focusing on the now, you bring inner issues under control. Your belief system says that you cannot change the past, and that you can only change the future by acting in the present. It is therefore the "now" which holds the key to effective action. When past-related regrets or future-related worries are brought into the now, they can be experienced, examined for what they are, and then acted upon.
Meditation is well-known for producing increased mental clarity. Greater concentration and creativity are produced, as well as greater memory. The expression of creativity is one of the great natural joys in life, one which appears more and more as you follow your true path through life.
Emotional benefits:
The more you contact your inner self, the more you understand who you really are. This brings forth a balanced sense of self-esteem, one which relies upon your true self rather than the judgments of others.
Inner strength is awakened. This is a calm and self-assured strength, one which helps you face stress and anxiety with renewed energy and poise.
With stress under control, your capacity for happiness is naturally expanded.
Physical benefits:
Meditation provides a deep form of rest that works wonders for the human nervous system. This increases the human capacity for managing stressful situations and provides a sense of increased energy for handling all aspects of daily living.
Meditation brings the body, mind, emotions and spirit into harmony. Disease is a word meaning "dis-ease," literally a form of discord which reflects from the emotions onto the physical body. Extensive research projects have produced valid claims for meditation helping control many ailments, including hypertension, anxiety and panic attacks.
With as many benefits as these, it is little wonder that meditation has become such a popular tool in helping people cope with today's fast-paced world.
The Infinite Being Meditation technique is designed for the ultimate in spiritual results, yet it reflects its benefits throughout your entire system, nourishing your mental, emotional and physical bodies.
Make meditation your daily haven of spirituality in today's noisy world. In no time at all, your morning meditation session will become the highlight of your day.

Unconditional Love by Owen Waters
The purpose of being human, as we shift into the New Reality, is to learn about heart-centered consciousness.
The universe is, by its very design, filled with the love of the Original Creator. Universal love is the aspect of Original Consciousness which holds Creation together. In the Original Creation, Infinite Being divided its consciousness into two complementary aspects - thought and feeling - and then set them into motion.
The love of the Original Creator forms the very fabric of space. No material thing and no part of "empty" space is devoid of that love. Universal love is literally everywhere. However, the human condition is only affected by this love when it is channeled into the human realm through its use by humans.
We are here on Earth to learn how to translate universal love into human form.
Once universal love has been transformed through the consciousness of any individual human being, it enters the global mind atmosphere of Earth. We all share constant access to this global mind. While we initiate thoughts and feelings on our own, we also receive thoughts and feelings from the global mind. We sometimes alter these by our own thought, sometimes not, and then pass them back into the global mind. In an unconscious way, but not consciously, people are fully telepathic as they receive and transmit thoughts and feelings from and to the global mind atmosphere.
When a person experiences heart-centered consciousness, they radiate a type of consciousness which is very different to basic emotion. Heart-centered consciousness is a state of unconditional love. It is not a product of emotional like or dislike. Once started, nothing in physical reality affects the flow of unconditional love. It is something that just is, regardless of the circumstances.
Unconditional love is something that flows through your heart when you reach up above day-to-day consciousness, then open your heart and just allow it. This heart-centered consciousness always sees the elegant solution to the sorrows that can arise from basic human emotions.
Unconditional love allows, accepts and supports. It is not something you try to do. It just flows when you allow it to enter your heart and take your consciousness above the cares of daily reality and into an expanded vista of awareness.
Each time you radiate unconditional love into the global mind atmosphere, you upgrade the entire human experience, taking humanity yet one more step into the unfolding New Reality.

A Brighter Tomorrow by Owen Waters Heart-powered consciousness is humanity’s destination in The Shift to the New Reality. As people continue to have experiences of heart-centered consciousness, their everyday state of consciousness shifts more and more into the heart-centered zone. As detailed in my book, The Shift, there is a yin and a yang to heart-centered consciousness. Heart-felt consciousness is the yin or exploratory stage, and can be observed as the phase of heart consciousness expressed, for example, by ecological enthusiasts or “greenies.?It is the pinnacle of the first tier of human evolution. The next step opens the way to a spiritual transformation because the heart is a bridge between the first and spiritual tiers of human consciousness. When a person takes that one step further, into the yang or action-oriented phase of heart-centered consciousness, they experience heart-powered consciousness and gain awareness of the spiritual tier of human evolution. Heart-powered consciousness is where spiritual awakening occurs, changing the person’s viewpoint of reality permanently. Once a person sees and experiences this expanded vista of consciousness, it enhances their abilities for life. After you have experienced such a spiritual awakening, you soon realize that unconditional love was always the only answer to all of life’s challenges. You gain an active sense of intuition so that your purpose in life begins to flow naturally through your inspiration and your actions. Synchronicity keeps appearing in your life as you find yourself in the right places at the right times, and the term “quality of life?takes on a deep and profound meaning. How to Enhance Your Spiritual Awakening The ancient Mayan calendars show that many different cosmic cycles converge and renew on December 21st, 2012. Many prophecies have indicated a period of chaos and confusion in the transition years leading up to this confluence of cycles in 2012. This is understandable as the old cycles are ending and many agendas of the Old Reality are rushing towards resolution and completion. Old issues, suppressed for years, are now bubbling up to the surface, demanding attention and resolution. Today’s level of stress is likely to increase even more as 2012 approaches. The best way to handle such stress is to be centered and to resist the temptation to be drawn into dramas and conflicts. Most of such dramas are due to other people working through their “stuff,?and you always have the option to choose not to be drawn into them. Being in the now and focusing on what is ?not what could be, or shouldn’t be, or what might be fear-inducing ?provides the key to balance in a world full of increasing stress. Daily meditation enhances your ability to become centered and free of stress. Regular, daily meditation deeply enhances your spiritual awakening. Any meditation technique will do this, although our Ultimate Meditation article provides a particularly effective technique. A Brighter Tomorrow Imagine what will happen when enough people reach heart-centered consciousness and start finding New Reality solutions to Old Reality problems. Imagine what will happen when enough people open their hearts to a caring sense of responsibility towards other people and towards the planet. Imagine how things will change when more and more people just say “enough?to the tired ways of the Old Reality. The Spiritual Renaissance which has become apparent in the West will sweep across the globe in ways that match the diversity of the different cultures on Earth. In the New Reality, the search for a higher quality of life will replace the old search for a better standard of living. Imagine what will happen when enough people are no longer willing to allow the rising toxicity in the air that they breathe, in the water that they drink, and in the food that they eat. Imagine when more and more corporations no longer support the blind pursuit of profit and, instead, support the new standard of “Profit with principles.? When enough people reach heart-centered consciousness, we will see the day when public servants serve the public before they serve themselves. Alternative healthcare will flourish and become mainstream, bringing health and wholeness instead of toxic medications which only mask the symptoms of ill health. In a heart-centered world, people will no longer feel alone in a crowd and communities will be built with an eye for beauty as well as utility. People will find the work which brings them the most joy. They will prosper, because that is what happens to people who love their work. It is an easy prediction to say that a better world lies ahead, because happiness is a product of heart-powered consciousness, and heart-powered consciousness is the exact destination of The Shift. The Future of the Human Race by Owen Waters
In the ground-breaking book, "Spiral Dynamics" by Don Beck and Christopher Cowan, 'memes' are defined as the social equivalent of genes. Memes are cultural units of information which self-replicate from mind to mind on a vast scale, appearing within society as new trends of thought.
The progression of memes reflects the development of society from its primitive beginnings up to the present. So far, eight different memes have been identified and analyzed. As detailed in my book, "The Shift: The Revolution in Human Consciousness," their characteristics are:
1. Basic, personal survival. 2. Clan survival. 3. Courage, survival of the fittest. 4. Finding order and purpose in life. 5. Achievement, striving to succeed. 6. Community and caring.
Then, a momentous leap into the second, spiritual tier of six memes began with leading-edge thinkers in the 1950s, then mushroomed into popularity in the mid-1960s. Since then, enough people have made the shift into the second tier to enable two of its memes to be identified and analyzed:
7. Responsible freedom. 8. Holistic, global village view.
As of the 1990s, the authors of Spiral Dynamics have also identified the existence of the next meme in the progression. This ninth meme has not yet been observed in large quantities of people, so they have been unable to summarize its characteristics at this point.
Using basic metaphysical principles, however, you can predict exactly what it will become. Also, second tier memes are reminiscent of their first tier cousins. Meme number nine, being the third meme within the second tier of six, will become an enlightened version of the original meme number three, which is courage.
The first tier of six memes is materially-oriented while the second tier is spiritually-oriented. The second tier, being of a higher frequency band of consciousness than the first tier, exerts far more influence in the world when it is activated. As popular use of the second tier of memes only began in the mid-1960s, we have yet to see much of its power manifest in the world.
The second tier of memes, this higher frequency band of consciousness, is the engine of The Shift, the spiritual revolution in human consciousness.
Meme number seven (responsible freedom) is similar to meme number one (basic, personal survival), only transformed into the second tier of six memes. Meme seven means having a viewpoint from a much wider vista of consciousness than meme one. It deals with flexible flow and adaptation to a world full of change. It is like learning to survive all over again, but this time through a global viewpoint. Meme number seven is the starting point, and the orientation course, for the entire second tier of memes.
Meme number eight (holistic, global village view) is the second tier version of meme number two (clan survival). With a viewpoint that is holistic as well as global, it is reminiscent of meme number two. In meme number eight, the vision is to create a global village, or a unified clan of humanity. Unlike the small-clan focus of meme number two, meme number eight thinkers can see that the key to unity is to embrace the unlimited diversity of humanity as a whole. Integration and peace can then be created through the existence of our common humanity, when people accept everyone else as they are, simply because they exist.
This equates to the fundamental, Creator-given right of each human being for self-determination simply because they exist. People were created to experience self-determination. Humanity was also created to have an infinite variety of personalities for the purpose of gaining an infinite variety of experience.
At this higher level of consciousness, it becomes obvious that any attempt to coerce people into conformity with the standards of another person, or another group of people, is actually a violation against the will of the Creator.
Acceptance of diversity, paradoxically, is the key to unity in human experience.
The Nature of the New Social Meme:
The new meme number nine will be like meme number three (courage, survival of the fittest), only in a higher form of manifestation. Meme number three's courage lead to adventure, exploration and mastery of the physical environment. As the second tier memes all have a spiritual orientation, this means that the new meme number nine will bring about adventure, exploration and mastery of the holistic environment of mind, body and spirit. It will do this while encompassing a global scale of awareness.
The new, ninth meme will bring exploration of the spiritually-inspired use of the power of the mind to transform reality for the better. It will create strong demand for spiritual and creative freedom on a global basis.
This far-ranging, inspiring meme has the power, quite simply, to transform the entire world as we know it.
The keywords of the ninth meme will be 'Powerful creativity.'
Powerful Creativity:
How powerful will it become? How much will this meme transform the world as it gains in popularity?
When a spiritually-oriented person uses their creativity, they use the same formula that Infinite Being originally used to create the entire universe. That's how powerful spiritual creativity is. In its fundamental form, it consists of three essential components:
(1) Intent is used to define the goal, or the desired outcome. When defining a goal, it is better to leave the specifics undefined and deal in generalities. This allows the universe to find the easiest pathway through which to manifest the desired goal. Even better than specific objects are general principles. For example, the general principle of natural prosperity can find thousands of ways to materialize, whereas a goal involving one specific objective along the path to prosperity limits the options considerably.
(2) Feeling is added to give the goal the life energy with which to grow from an idea into a pre-physical reality that becomes ready to manifest in the physical world. Ideally, an equal balance between the amount of intent and feeling makes for the most powerful act of creativity. For the sake of clarity, feeling is defined as a separate component from intent. In practice, however, the act of creativity expresses intent and feeling intertwined together as one creative act. This is in keeping with the way nature functions. Light, for example, is a form of electromagnetic radiation - electric and magnetic energies intertwined in perfect balance and set into motion.
(3) Action. As the energy of your environment reorganizes itself around your empowered intent, you need to provide the third and final component, action. However, before the action, there first has to be a pause lasting several days. This is a hands-off period where you allow the growth of the project to occur at its own pace within the pre-physical ethers of space. Then, after several days have passed and the objective is ready to manifest, it will cause synchronistic flow to appear in your life. 'Coincidences' will occur which cause events around you to move towards the fulfillment of your desired goal. When this flow of supportive coincidences begins to occur, your job is to provide the action which each synchronistic event calls for, until the goal has become fully manifested.
If, for example, a desired career opening occurs, then you would follow that opportunity to see if this is the main event, or if it is just something that you will learn from along the journey towards your goal.
If a key contact occurs which can help your project, then you follow through on that contact to see where it will lead. Whatever mini-opportunities arise along the path to the realization of your goal, you provide the physical action to materialize those opportunities out of the realm of possibilities and bring them into the physical realm. Most often, goals materialize through a daisy chain of events and opportunities, each of which builds up to the final realization of the entire, original goal.
People today are finding their way through the spiritual awakenings that come with second-tier memes number seven and eight. As they activate number nine, the meme of powerful creativity, they discover a power which, unleashed, can transform not only their own lives but the world around them for the better.
The New Reality is yours to explore. It already exists as a frequency of consciousness. In a world where thoughtlessness and heartlessness are common, people of the New Reality bring thoughtfulness and heartfulness. Where there is strife, people of the New Reality bring peace. Where there is pain, people of the New Reality bring love and healing.
This is the New Reality, the spiritual revolution in human consciousness.

Science Proves the Existence of the Creator of the Universe by Owen Waters Science is in general agreement about the existence of a Big Bang, from which the universe is said to have literally exploded into life. The problem science faces with this theory is the difficulty that such a Big Bang would face in being successful in creating life. In his book The Life of the Cosmos, physicist Lee Smolin details the many variables which had to be exactly balanced in order for the universe to unfold into living order, rather than random chaos. The mass of the proton, the strength of gravity, the range of the weak nuclear force, and dozens of other variables determine how a universe will unfold after a Big Bang. If any of these values had been just slightly different, the universe would have become a disorganized pool of hot plasma where galaxies and solar systems were unable to form. In order to make a universe that supports life, the numbers have to be exactly right. What are the mathematical chances of an accidental Big Bang producing a universe that produces life as we know it? Life as we know it One chance in 10229 That’s one chance in 10 to the power 229. The Healing Power of Spiritual Light by Owen Waters
The Buddha spent many years trying to understand evil and suffering. He eventually concluded that the only real power in the universe is the Creator and that all else is illusion and therefore has little or no power in comparison.
He then went on to counsel people to adopt the middle way in order to avoid being sucked into illusion and bringing suffering upon themselves. He saw attachment to things of the world as the source of suffering, so he advised people to be a part of the world, yet not attached to it.
His words ring as true today as they did 2,500 years ago; and yet, times have changed. Today's level of popular consciousness is far beyond that of the relatively dark times of 2,500 years ago. Today, detachment is still excellent advice, but we can do so much more now to consciously transform the old ways of darkness.
Physical darkness is the absence of physical light. The darkness itself is not real. It is merely an absence of something that is real. Likewise, spiritual darkness is the absence of spiritual light. Spiritual darkness itself is not real. It is merely an absence of something that is real.
Evil is an illusion because a shadow is not a real thing. Light is the real thing. A shadow is an illusion caused by the absence of light. The only reality, the only real power, is light itself.
Darkness can only exist in hiding from the light. When light shines in, it dissipates the darkness, making it obvious where the real power lies. Evil has no power in itself. It is only a lack of light. The real power is, and always has been, with the light and not with the shadow.
If you sense darkness, add light. If you sense pain, add the light of healing energy. If you sense hatred, add the light of love. If you sense despair, add the light of hope and trust in the goodness of that from which we came and that to which we are returning.
The Nature of Spiritual Light
Spiritual light, in its fundamental form, is the omnipresent consciousness of the Creator. When intertwined with the unconditional love of the Creator and set into motion, it manifests as the universe. Filters can block spiritual light. Such filters include fear, hatred, judgment, conflict and despair. That which engenders any of these is, therefore, promoting darkness. Darkness in consciousness affects mind, body and spirit. When spiritual light is channeled through the human mind, it adds to the light of the world. Darkness can be healed through the addition of spiritual light. While spiritual light is universally available in all frequencies, it has to flow through human consciousness in order to affect the human realm of consciousness. The effectiveness of sending healing spiritual light into an area that needs it is subject to the following two laws.
The Laws of Spiritual Light
1. The transformative ability of spiritual light is proportional to the frequency of the consciousness used to project it. Explanation: Conditioning the intent with any agenda lowers the frequency. Projecting pure spiritual light for the unconditioned purpose of healing raises the frequency and the potential.
2. The amount of spiritual light projected is proportional to the degree of openness of the chakra through which it flows. Explanation: Your thoughts flow from you to the outside world through the appropriate chakra. Spiritual practices develop the chakras, increasing your capability as a channel for spiritual light. page created by ~eerie

Mysteries of the Universe by Owen Waters
The metaphysics of today is the physics of tomorrow. By studying spiritual metaphysics, you get a head start in understanding the mysteries of the universe. For example, two hundred years ago, electricity was still a huge mystery. Back then, a few visionaries uncovered more and more information about the nature of electricity. Once it became possible to generate electricity, it powered the Industrial Revolution and then went on to produce the Electronics Era, which soon morphed into today's Information Revolution. This enormous chain reaction of technological evolution was made possible by the original curiosity of just a handful of visionary mystics. Now, imagine what the mystic insights of today's world could do for tomorrow's world. For example, the next energy to be understood is etheric energy. A more subtle cousin to electricity, etheric energy is the life force that streams towards us from the Sun, energizing and motivating all forms of life. The mastery of etheric energy will lead to far more wide-ranging advances than electricity ever did. Within etheric energy, lie the keys to powerful healing modalities, pollution-free energy, and many other valuable innovations. Just the advent of abundant, inexpensive energy will transform he world, eliminating poverty and much of today's third world suffering. Etheric energy is life energy. It is the energy that passes from spiritual healer to patient. It is the vitality or life force contained within air, water and food. It is the mystery energy which powers the endless orbit of electrons in their atoms and planets around their suns. Etheric energy has been known by many other names - prana, life energy, vital life force, chi or qi, orgone, universal life force, odic force, cold electricity, tachyon energy; the list goes on. Cosmologists - scientists who study the structure of the universe - are actually already on the trail of etheric energy. They have detected its presence in the cosmos through its gravitational side-effects, but they haven't been able to see it, so they call it 'dark energy.' The existence of dark energy - and its related dark matter - is one of the great, unanswered mysteries of science today. According to the observed movements of galaxies, it is calculated that 23% of the universe consists of dark matter and 73% of the universe consists of dark energy. The universe, it would seem, is filled with unseens. At least, to the limited capabilities of physical eyes. When a cosmologist stares at a clear, night sky, wondering where all the missing energy and matter is in the inky blackness of the depths of space, it would come as a surprise to them if they knew that a clairvoyant - a person who has developed the ability to see subtle energies - sees the same night sky very differently. It may sound unconventional, even rebellious to tradition, to suggest that a scientist should ask a clairvoyant what they perceive, but it has been done before, and with breakthrough results. For example, in the mid 1800s, one of the top scientists of all time did exactly this. Carl von Reichenbach had heard that clairvoyants can see a subtle energy of which science was unaware. The fact that he, like most people, lacked clairvoyant vision did not deter him. Such a minor complication was not to be an obstacle to his curiosity and his desire to understand this new form of energy. So, for his experiments, he hired a group of skilled clairvoyants to describe to him what they could see. He cataloged the appearance and behavior of etheric energy, which he called the 'odic force,' around substances such as magnets, crystals, wood and metals. Today, a cosmologist could, if they dared to be that adventurous, ask a skilled clairvoyant what they see in the clear, night sky. The clairvoyant would report that they see the etheric energies that surge through the universe. To their subtle perception, etheric energy does not appear in the least bit dark. In fact, it glows brightly with the light of its own life energy. To them, the night sky is filled with a brilliant interplay of pure and magical, etheric light. Etheric energy is one of the three fundamental types of energy in the universe. These three energies are electric, magnetic and etheric. Electric energy operates at a right angle to magnetic energy. The third energy of Creation, etheric energy, operates at yet another right angle to the other two. Physical matter is made from electromagnetism, which is the interplay of electric and magnetic energies. Etheric matter is quasi-physical, i.e. solid only to the subtle senses, and it is made from etheromagnetism, which is the interplay of etheric and magnetic energies. Etheric energy and etheric matter are the missing components in today's cosmology. Etheric energy is the mysterious 'dark energy' and etheric matter is the mysterious 'dark matter.' Knowing that it can be seen by the subtle senses certainly makes it a more immediate candidate for study and research. Just the fact that 'dark' or etheric energy reveals its presence through its gravitational effects implies that its understanding could lead to control over gravity, and the introduction of weightless, high-speed flying vehicles. The possibilities for research into this fledgling field are almost unlimited. For example, many of Nikola Tesla's experiments involved a strange new form of energy that he called 'cold electricity.' When his experiments are reviewed in the light that cold electricity is none other than etheric energy, then they begin to make a lot more sense. Etheric energy is the third energy of Creation. It is not a form of electricity. Etheric energy and electric energy share the common bond of interacting with magnetic energy. They bring to life the magnetic fabric of space when they intertwine with it to invoke physical electromagnetic energy and quasi-physical etheromagnetic energy. Spiritual metaphysics provides a head start in understanding the mysteries of the universe. The sooner today's scientists search within for understanding, the sooner the world will see them emerge as the modern-day visionaries of science. When a deeper understanding of etheric energy is achieved, society will reap many benefits, ranging from powerful healing machines and precise weather control to clean, unlimited energy and travel to the stars. *If you enjoyed today's article, forward it to a friend!
