Pam, really sorry that you have endured this, except for the weight loss, of course. Please do not be afraid to go on insulin, for one thing you'll have better control and if your beta cells are still producing insulin, it will give the beta cells a rest so they are not overworked. Getting a C- peptide test is a good idea. Sulfonylurea drugs do over work the beta cells by producing more insulin. Be sure to write down your concerns and questions, so when you see this new doctor you can express them. Trekker |
