Recently the Deaf have been either removed from the job site or fired on the spot for touching other employees or people. In 1982 this issue was fought and won in a court trial. the Deaf can touch as it is thier only form of communication.

Dear Fender, I can't imagine what this world would be with out touch, I have several deaf friends and they are the most kindest people I know, just because you can't hear doesn't mean that you are emotionless, I think people that don't have disabilities have no compassion on those that do, we are all just struggling here to exist, and get through life the best we can, so keep us posted on things going on with the deaf, as I have wonderful friends that it wouldeffect their lives. Thanks LibbyE

  ...I agree, Libby !

For heavens' sake, is society so "hyper-sensitive" (paranoid) that we can't tell a "good" touch, from a "bad" one !

I think this is just "silly politics", or just "down-right" prejudice !  Good Lord !!

Thank You, Fender, for pointing that out !

I get that when I walk by someone in public, for example on the bus, people move their feet" instinctively" when I hobble by ...

I joke about it, tell them "I'll walk on the tops, you  walk on the bottoms" ! lol

I'm going to go out and touch a deaf person ... if my wife doesn't mind ! lol

Just kidding ...That's a very good observation !

Thank You, Guys !
